geocities lol. my parents set up a little geocities site that had a whole lot of animated gifs/rainbow horizontal rules/etc.
not long after that i saw a site called bonus.com which had a lot of weird activities (including a suggestion on how to make a mini-golf course out of household objects lol). also was on a lot of old rumor mill-y kid-friendly game forums as a little kid, lots of weird pokémon rumors about the ss anne or ways to catch mew or rumors about the triforce in zelda/luigi in mario 64/etc.
fun times. i miss them...
