Hmm, well that's really odd. I downloaded the program myself and tested it out on an unimportant system file, and it let me take control of it. icon_shrug.gif With what it's saying it can't find, I almost think you may have a virus or something attached to the file, which may have rooted itself somehow.

How could it be a virus if it's 0 bytes, and made in ZQ?

I'm not sure, but it may help to try it with a different OS. You can try either Hiren's BootCD as suggested before, a live Linux USB/CD/disc image, or maybe safe mode (probably not safe mode, but it's easy to use).

or ignore it, because it isn't there and doesn't take up space more than a pointer or two. some part of your system didn't properly delete its existence from its data and now you have a remnant. it's so not a big deal. yeah, it's annoying, but if none of the last few suggestion take care of it, ignore it for a while and reapproach it in a few months. have you tried creating a new file (of the same type or of a different type, try both) with the same name and location? I'd try that and maybe you'll get the "overwrite?" prompt and be able to replace it with a file you can delete afterward. good luck.

Very small virus? icon_shrug.gif icon_razz.gif Didn't realize that, but I did find another program that has the ability to delete files that you don't have permission to change/delete/rename. Hope this one works for you. I haven't used this program, so I don't know what steps you will need to follow to take care of your problematic file. Anyhow, here's the link. xdel
Good luck. icon_smile.gif

I hate to pull this back, but I decided to delete my ZC Beta 18 folder, and I couldn't. The Dogs file was still there. I had to delete everything from the folder. And, I can't even take the file OUT of the folder.
I moved it to my desktop, but I still can't do anything with it.

I need an answer. I can't find ANY. Anyone know? icon_frown.gif

Try booting into safe mode then removing it? Or boot into safe mode, enable the Administrator account then log into that account and try deleting the file.
