Weird bug, but when I open the quest log while walking, when I move around in the log, I hear walking sound effects. 

 

Other than that, I made it up to World 1... I'm really loving this remake so far!

Thanks a lot Shane, I'm glad you are enjoying the demo! I will look into that bug, thanks for reporting it. It shouldn't be too hard to solve.

 

Forgot to make a post here when I actually beat the demo a couple days ago. World 3 was great, easily the best one in the demo. It's very different feel from the original, a little less striking a bit easier on the eyes, and a lot more alive. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the next few few worlds. Especially 4 and 6 which were two of my favorites but felt like they were missing some of their potential in the original. This new quest system really adds a lot to the more densely inhabited worlds. I'm excited to see the lore on those two expanded on like you did here.

And I can promise you world 4 & 6 will definitely be expanded. Can't wait to show that, but I fear it will take 2 more years to complete the quest. I will however release a teaser video of world 4 in this month or perhaps in May.

Just a heads up: Was watching someone play the demo and they got the first key in the Force Cave by jumping carefully across the pond by the entrance. The problem with that is that the bombable wall didn't blow up from the south side. Would be cool to leave the alternative solution there!

Ah alright... thought this was impossible, I tried it myself plenty of times. But I'm all for it! I will make the wall bombable from the south side as well

Alright, thanks for reporting the issue though. I fixed it!  :bounce:

 

And I fixed a couple of more things:

  • Fixed small chance of being stuck falling in Skyland Meadow
  • Fixed a broken void charm
  • Fixed inaccessible area in Skyland Meadow
  • Argon's Lair Amelia location easier to find
  • Fixed the Lens of Truth cave for players who already triggered it in an earlier version
  • Improved some SFX
  • Made bombable wall in Force Caves a 2 way secret
  • Fixed some typos
  • Made shop discount in Historia Campsite more obvious

Now unless anyone finds game-breaking stuff I think that's the last release until the full quest! I estimate that might take 2 more years at this rate.

 

World 4 (Ghostly Grove) is well underway and I think it's safe to say there's a teaser video coming up next month.

Hey DFS, I'm very glad you liked the demo, thank you!

You almost have all void charms available! I calculated there are 70-80 you could get, but some are very very obscure. They might change a bit in the future, but at least I'm planning on adding a "void charm sensor" somewhere very late in the quest. Much like the thing that helps you find korok seeds in Breath of the Wild, or the thingamajig that helps finding Cursed Skulls in Isle of Rebirth.

And thanks for reporting the bug, I didn't find it yet!
