My friend Stephanie who lives in North America has an APEX
tv (television) which has a red white and yellow cable plug into slots in its front.

Wii U
to successfully hook up my

to my friend Stephanie's APEX tv?

You just need the official Composite A/V connectors (or 3rd party cables I guess), you don't need to plug HDMI cables in to the consoles and then convert them to Composite A/V before plugging the other end in to the TV.
