-Just so people know, my quest is still being developed

There are like probably 5, 6 or 7 dungeons you can get to, however i have only fully been able to Test the first Five for the expo.

I am currently replaying up to dungeon 6 and 7 as i have not fully tested them yet.

So please keep in mind, this is not a Complete quest yet.

It is probably only a 5 or possibly 7 dungeon demo for now until i fixed all the current errors onward.

-Future dungeons are being built etc. I wish i got a-lot more feedback or even people showing me videos of them playing my quest so i can take note and fix things so i can make this quest the best it can be.

It is hard working all alone on a quest that i don't know if people are playing or not.

 

(I am just kinda in the dark, as a-lot of developers probably are about how their game demo's are being perceived.)

How many dungeons are there planned to be?

I'm excited to give this a shot after my semester ends, which is in a few weeks. :)

There will be lots, I have some planned with new mechanics coming soon.

 

I am considering having rare items you collect to unlock some more secrets, so i will probably create another

counter in the sub menu.

 

Probably amulet gold coins or something.

How many dungeons are there planned to be?

I'm excited to give this a shot after my semester ends, which is in a few weeks. :)

 

 

New Coin Counter system as been implemented into the subscreen now.

 

(A) (L) (B) (W) Are the Coins.  They can be collected for something special later on at select spots you trade them in at.

I have yet to add the script for that New system and the spots into the game.

 

>The Letters of all the Coins stand for the first letter of certain Characters names in the game.

Arianna / Link / Blazzma / Whimsical -  Leading to mystery prizes of what they do later in the game.

 

There will Now be Collectable Coins that you can find their locations and gather them for something great later.

 

All the locations are still being installed so there are just a small few in the quest so far.

 

>Many of them you will have to remove blockades most of the time using select tools/weapons in order to get to them. If you don't have the tool you must come back to gather them later.

 

I will add much more Coin locations later.

Level 2 bugs:
You're able to dive when first entering the dungeon passage for Level 2. This carries over when you enter the dungeon

I will get to fixing the warps for tommorrow.

I updated my quest for tonight with the last errors i tried all fixing.

 

I cannot figure out how to prevent those bombed areas from resetting.

I tried looking for this problem before, i don't know how to do it..

 

I have looked into the rooms where the item refuses to drop unless you re-enter those rooms.

Idk how to fix this problem, i will try to look into it again, it had me stumped for quite a long while.

May need help if i can't figure out why it's doing this.

 

I will fix the locked doors and that passage allowing player to walk off to the top room.

 

The shutters are not there in that last room below, they used to be, i removed them because the player would get

trapped between the blocks and could not kill every enemy to make the shutters open again.

Lastly make sure you re-download in case you are going to Level-4, i fixed issues there because the dungeon was unsolvable at first and i went though all it.

 

I have tested 5 and yet to test 6 next.

It probably has to do with screen types.

In NES Dungeon rooms, secrets always reset by default (unless you use both the "Enemies->Secret" and "Enemies->Secret is Permanent" checkboxes in screen data, but obviously those don't apply to bomb secrets).

Option 1 is change the screen type (or entire DMap type) from NES Dungeon to Interior, however that will break any NES door types you use (lock, shutter, bomb wall, etc.). Option 2 is scripted permanent secrets, but those won't display during a fade-in, so if you use item cellars or passageway warps in those rooms, you'll see the original combos during the fade, then the secret combos suddenly pop into place when you start playing.

Maybe it wouldn't bother you, but it's annoying to me, so I was just warning you, you'd end up with a weird visual glitch if you use scripts on screens like that.

I'm kind of stuck. Where do I learn the maze path for the woods in the first OW? I most recently found the boomerang, and lens of truth, but I have gone everywhere I can it seems.

Did you ever check the Dock Up above where you got the Lens of truth?

It goes somewhere.

I Just fixed all the tiles that were acting up displaying over the player as they cut corners on boulders and corner rock Nes mountain tiles on every single one of my maps. It was long & dreadful work doing all this..

 

Next i have to fix the pathway to Level-6 and an Error i am having with the Coins when Link switches with the Mermaid. The Coins, they display as A -Infinite amount, when they are not supposed to.

 

I will fix all this for tomorrow.
