Okay so I'm using Mr. Z's Pure Extreme Tileset and it doesn't come with a screen 80 or 81, so I have to make my own. Only problem is, it keeps looking like crap in ZQ and ZC.

Here is how I want it to look: user posted image

and here is how it actually looks (in both ZQ and ZC): user posted image
...

Can someone please help me figure out how to make screen 80/81 look decent? Thanks.

That's because caves use dungeon palettes. Just replace the right palette with a dungeon cset. It's either A, B or C. I'm not sure.

Try B or C then. I know it's one of them. @_@

You'll have to recolor those tiles for the cave pallette or use different tiles.

Press F4, and set the screen palette to whatever the "cave" palette is.

I'm not sure right off of the top of my head, but you can go to Quest -> Graphics -> Palettes -> Levels, and scroll down and see what number/ leter the cave palette is assigned to.

The Reason it looks weird is because the mountain tiles are not for a cave or dungeon pallete. You need to either recolor them, or make a new pallete.

Yes, just recolor them to the dungeon palette, and it'll work fine.

I'm not sure if it will work, but cant you just copy the Cset that the mountains use, and paste it in with the dungeon palette?
but if that doesnt work, just do what /M/ said. icon_confused.gif

This thread is more than a year old. icon_heh.gif I'm sure it was just an odd visual blip on your end, /M/.
