That's what I do. But it never seems to work right for me.

Are you using a dungeon DMap?

Most of the ones I try are dungeon dmaps triggering secrets on overworld dmaps once the boss has been defeated.

Well don't use dungeon DMaps!
That's why it doesn't work!

Sorry, but dungeon DMaps are for n00bs.

If you use an interior DMap, it'll work.

Sorry, but I'm a n00b at heart. I use scripts in cooperation with things Zelda 1 had in it. I guess I better stop using dungeon dmaps.

So you're telling me that Link and Zelda and all the standard enemies are evil? icon_biggrin.gif

¬_¬

Z1 methods of making things work are mostly crappy.

Some things are ok, like the bombs.
I like the bombs.

Who doesn't like the bombs. The bombs made it to NP's top 5 Zelda items list.

It isn't working for me for some reason. I use build 758, and I have an interior Dmap, and it's looped.

Both maps must be an interior or overworld.

And I use dungeon type rooms when I want the secrets to reset. So, it's not really that noobish.

What is?

I'm confused. And I have it working!

Just have ONLY Interior and Overworld d-maps and set a RSC to ANY map and ANY screen... That should work... Of course, that's what we've all been doing and it's not working...

I don't know icon_heh.gif

===========EDIT============

Well, I just tested it. I set a PERMANENT trigger on one screen in an Interior type d-map. I then set the RSC to another screen (in the same Interior d-map), and everything worked fine. The trigger was permanent, the secrets were permanently triggered. No problems!

It doesn't need to be looped!
Seriously!

Eh, there's a 'Secrets are temporary' screen flag if you really need it.

And, speaking of not looping the RSC...

In my previous post a couple posts up, I DID NOT loop the RSC! And it's still permanent.

Try using permanent secrets. If you're using a block trigger, make sure to make the trigger a permanent one (by setting the combo type as 'trigger(permanent)' icon_razz.gif)

That should work. I don't think block triggers are automatically permanent... That may be the problem. icon_wink.gif
