I'm planning on making, or more accurately, reorganizing, adding to, and recoloring/shading the new1st tileset.

Many people do not like the new1st tileset for many reasons and I am going to "buff" out those "scratches".

I have a list ready to make, and I want to hear all the cons of the new1st tileset from other people than just me.
I want to know these cons so I can fix them and make the new1st tileset more apealing.

The new1st tileset, in my opinion, can make some of the best looking screens ever. Only when used right. But the tileset isn't very user friendly. Its organization, and lack of interior tiles of all kinds make it this way.

I already have a few cons of the tileset myself. Please, if you reply to this post, make a list of all the changes you would like in the new1st tileset.

I'll start.

1. Organization of tiles and combos needs to be changed. The sprites are mixed in with the overworld tiles on many of the tile pages.
2. It lacks interior/dungeon tiles of all kinds. Only one dungeon set, no caves(unless you count mountains in a different pallete), no houses.
3. It lacks people sprites.

I am going to make this tileset. Please don't try to discourage me from making the new new1st tileset becuase "it sucks", or, because no one uses it, I would like to see it used better, and more often.

(By the way, I'm not trying to make it a pure tileset, it will be new1st, but changed a lot.)

Make the palette darker and have more of a grey tint. One major problem I have with Newfirst is how the bright colors burn my eyes.

Here's a real good suggestion. Organize the freaking palletes! They're an absolute MESS!

Another one: Make sure every tile is already combo'd. It's a pain in the ass that all of the tiles that are included, but are the ones you would actually use aren't combo'd.

All right, those suggestions have been recorded. Thank you.
I will keep taking suggestions throughout the entire time the tileset is being built. So I guess you can post it here, or PM me.

Thank you again.

make sure you add all those tiles Warlock ment to be in the set.

Tileshop <--- All the way at the bottom, there is a zip of hundreds of tiles that are for the NewFirst set. Most of which aren't even in the quest. You can't miss it.

Another problem I've found with the Newfirst set is it's lack of ground details and all of the grounds are a blank tan or green. Here are a few things from the RnH set I am working on (although it may not match the style of Newfirst.......)

Wow Revfan, those are some cool plants. They may not match new1st, but they do match my other tileset which is for a quest I may be making in the future, you will see some of my quest tileset graphics in the next SoTW if they ever put it up.

The suggestions have also been recorded.

Talk with Skateboarder11 if you have the time; he's worked hard on his own upgrades to the new1st set. He's already submitted one version to the database. You might find that he has some useful resources and info.

I once, tried to make this before. As soon as I looked at the palette, I quit the task. The New First palette is the most disorganized I've ever seen, in any tile set.
