I am gonna say something in a SotW for once. Yey.

Joelmacool: wot

Bagel: Looks nice, also are those moblins made of stone?

Shane: Where did the clouds go? Also this looks really nice.

Coolgamer012345: Rainbowldorm.

BigJoe: Looks nice. Is the orange/yellow Ghini the leader that kills all the other ones?

Joel: gr8 b8 m8, i r8 0/8

Bagel: Honestly, I'm a fan of buildings that don't appear to be in any large village. Having the house at a crossroads provides an interesting and memorable landmark as the player explores the map. You get my vote.

Shane: It's decent and functional, but the lack of a background completely kills it for me.

Coolgamer: Could be the start of an interesting dungeon, but I can't say I'm a fan of the perfectly rectangular room, especially when there's unused space you could have made the walls do something more interesting with or expand outward.

Big Joe: Decent looking, and gets the job done, but doesn't do anything that makes it jump out to me.

Joelmacool12:

This took no effort.

Even my review took more.

Such sad. Much Joel. Wow.

Bagel:

This is a nice screen.

The tiles are pretty but the

Cracks are layered weird.

Shane:

The screen seems lazy.

The blank background ruined it.

Firebird is kill.

Coolgamer012345:

Simple, but it works.

I like the detail of how

The doors match the floors.

BigJoe:

A solid screenshot.

Reference game is on point.

But whose graves are those?

Review gimmicks are fun. I should do this more often.

Edit: Didn't properly review

My list from best to "worst":
Think of worst as an opportunity to get better

Bagel, Coolgamer012345, Shane, BigJoe, Joelmacool12

Reviews
Joelmacool12
  • I have nothing constructive to say about this
  • If you want me, or others to help you, submit something presentable

Bagel
  • Everything is pretty much perfect to the last detail
  • Mixing different things and making work is true art in my opinion
  • In the 90s relatively everything was mixed, movies, music, art, etc.

Shane
  • It's decent
  • The blank space detracts from it's presentation

Coolgamer012345
  • I think this is good too
  • I don't like the peg formations, they hurt my eyes
  • Might be different if i was playing it

BigJoe
  • This is ok
  • Screen-wise, nothing too special

Summary

All of you have great potiential, you just gotta turn that potential into skill.

With skill comes evolved skill with practice.

Good luck my Artists!

I know I should probably be voting for Bagel, since it's definitely the most technically well done shot; but Coolgamer012345's shot is just pretty, to me, so I voted for him.

Joel - This is what happens when you don't prevent forest fires.

Bagel - I approve of this screen in every way possible.  I love the earthy palette, and the design of everything.  My selection for this week.

Shane - Also very nice.  Something to go in the sky background could give it that extra edge.

Coolgamer - Interesting combination of gate and floor colors, and I like the choice of walls and doors.  Other than that, it seems like a rudimentary screen.

BigJoe - Nice subscreen background.  Good old BS doesn't want to quit on us, and it shouldn't quit.  The ground details are very subtle, enough to be simple but tasteful.  I almost wanted to give this screen its first vote, but Bagel's screen was just too good.

Joelmacool12 - The screen speaks for itself, "WAT" indeed.

Bagel - This looks like a really neat shot. It also looks a lot like A Link to the Past which is pretty awesome. Those lighter green trees at the top look a bit weird compared to everything else that's slightly darker in shade, and the house has a crack that goes on top of those circle things (I never know the name of those lol) which looks a bit odd. Either way, it looks really good.

Shane - This is really beautiful. It resembles Tarm Ruins so well and I really love the use of Firebird here. My only suggestion would be to probably add some clouds or something in the background, but that's about it.

Coolgamer012345 - It looks like it has an interesting concept. I'm a pretty big fan of the multi-coloured floor since it looks like it's a part of a bigger puzzle. Pretty good stuff.

BigJoe - Looking spooky. I love the clouds on the corners of the screen and the design is really cool. Gotta love BS.

Overall, my vote is pretty close between Shane and Bagel this week, but I think I'm going to go for Shane this week. Good job guys!

Let me review the screens:

Joelmumcool: Masterpiece, how did I make it so bad? Wat.

Donut: Lovely screen mate, I like the detail.

ShAn3: Best screen here, would've voted but I nulled.

Coolgamer012...: Colours.

Bigone: Looks good, this, for me, is second place!

All good. My next screenshot of the week will be god.

Cool screens. Also that's not Harry the Swan, Joel. Wat.

it is what he looks like to me, not to you.

Tough choice this week between Bagel and Shane. I ultimately went with Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel. The lack of sky detail in Shane's shot made it just a little odd.

There is definitely a group that does not like Firebird. I don't know why because it seems like a real good set to me. Maybe it's because it's new and people aren't used to it yet. I really like all the screenshots and wish I could make screens like that!
