Dude, you don't use the wand in the water room.  The wand is supposed to used in the next room to the east of the Moblin that tells you the hint.  The original hint said "in the next room", but since you first enter the room from the right, people thought it was talking about the next room to the west.  I changed "next" to "east"; sorry I couldn't keep both words in the hint.

Just to be clear, use the Lens to find where to use the wand in the first dark room you enter for the basement (just north of the first room w/ stairs).

In the "water room" that has floating traps, look for a stairway under the water.  Dive to go down that stairway.  FYI, you get the Compass (and can find the talking Goriya) if you keep going that way.

Key from mirror reflection? Yep! That's the way to a big chest, the contents of which you'll need to beat the dungeon.  Good luck! :)

how do I get the magic key in level 9. From the basement or the floor? I have not accessed the top rooms in the basement. For the record I beat level 9 and got to the ancient ruins and beat that and now I am looking for level 10 but first I would prefer the magic key.

I never saw that magic wand with the lens until a min ago. I kept missing it. I got to the piece of heart room in level 9 after the magic key but the din fire does not work on moving that big brown tree. I am not really worried about it as I have 20 total heart containers.

Magic key is access from the basement.  After passing the toll room, go right and follow that path to its end.

With Din's Fire, you actually have to hit the little trees next to the big one with the end of the ring, so you'll need to position yourself correctly

Right.  The secret only triggers if the end position of the flames from Din's Fire land on the trees.  Don't use it too closely or you will miss completely.

About where to aim, though, I just double-checked the quest file; the Din's Fire trigger flag is set to the base of the big (barren) tree and the small tree directly behind it.  (The small tree that is in plain site is actually on a different layer.  I couldn't put the burn flag on it or it would change the combo on layer 0 and it would look weird.  :wacky: )  If you get the flames to stop on the big tree, it'll trigger the secret.

Good job getting so far! :D  Now that you have the Magic Key, you can go do the Key Maze hidden in the White Woods!  :w00t:  (It's hidden behind a big grave.)

Don't know of any.  Why do you need cheat codes?  The quest isn't that difficult to get through.
