A new Nintendo Direct has been revealed for tomorrow, September 6th. It will air at 6PM Eastern Time/3 PM Pacific. It will be 35 minutes long and be about upcoming 3DS and Switch games. I get the feeling they will finally reveal details about the Switch Online Service.

I hope they don't reveal a whole bunch of new games that I would be interested in (I'm fine with the lack of games between now and the end of the year. It gives me a chance to catch up on the games I already have but haven't played yet). But I do wonder 1 thing: Who's getting revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate now?

EDIT: Topic Title changed due to the Nintendo Direct being delayed by the earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan.

It'll spend thirty-four minutes on Switch information and then twenty seconds on finally giving us the release date for the Luigi's Mansion port.

That already got a release date of October 12th. Fitting.

1 minute of 3DS games and 34 minutes on smash sounds about right to me.

Oh, so it did. I remember checking rather recently and it still didn't have a release date, so I missed that announcement.

Scratch that, delayed because of an earthquake in Hokkaido. Hoping everything's alright.

Definitely a worthy reason for a delay. :(

I hope the announcement introduces a new game. I'll probably get Dark Souls and Smash Bros., but the outlook beyond that is pretty hazy right now. I want a hype train to ride. Choo choo!

Of course, I'll settle for online deets and more Splatoon 2 announcements since I'm still addicted to that game. Definitely a bummer that Splatoon 2 won't support cloud saves, though.

Threw a bunch of announcements from other companies in mild disarray. Some games had demo's released on the original day of the Direct for example and presumably had announcements of the demo's as part of the Direct.

Unconfirmed. There's no official source on this yet, only supposed "leaks" from Splatoon 2 data of all things.

Am I the only one kinda peeved about the paid online suddenly coming up in less than a week? I mean, I definitely have the money, but some people might not. It's kind of like... "Boom! Here it is, you have no time to decide if you want it!"

There's a free week trial but still. Meh.

We've known for months it would be in September, as well as what the price would be. I don't see the problem.

Yeah, the site has said "second half of September" for a while. I can afford the $20, so I'm not concerned. Some are concerned about this being Nintendo's foray into microtransactions, but I think those concerns are overblown. Nintendo has always maintained their own version of microtransactions--in the form of optional accessories, controller colors, and the like.
