So, over the past few weeks I have been back to work on this quest.

In my couple years of relative silence, I rarely touched ZC for anything, but when I came back around I decided to jump back on this quest which is actually decently far along on development.

Before I disappeared, 5 dungeons were done, dungeon 6 and 7 were a good length along in development, and dungeon 8 had its walls built.

I also had the general overworld planned out and mostly designed.

Since I came back, I have been jumping around focusing on things I felt like designing on any given day. Level 6 has what I consider a pretty complete visual design. May get some small alterations here and there, but other than that, I like the look.

Level 7 still needs a lot of visual improvements and I haven’t touched level 8.

I refer to these as level 6, 7 and 8, but the way they are designed, you can approach them in any order.

As for the overworld, there are some areas I haven’t touched since I already like them, such as the Hebra Mountains, Castle Town and most of the Forest. But there are others I did a large amount of work on.

Death Mountain has been changed a lot, the Gerudo Desert has as well, and I recently tore down some unnecessary mountains in Lake Hylia.

The idea was for the Desert and Lake Hylia was to make them more flat and barren, like a lake and a desert. I did this after looking at the design of the Oracle games visually, and decided I was over complicating it. Same with Death Mountain, I removed all the lava, since I feel lava gets in the way on the overworld.

I’ve really been focused on cutting back on the clutter that has been my kryptonite in many of previous quests and gone for a more simple design.

There’s still a lot of work to be done. I haven’t even started on level 9 yet, and there’s mini games, NPCs and other things that need to be worked on to give the world life!

I recently posted some screenshots, which I think are a vast improvement over screens I’ve designed in the past.

Anyways, that’s it for now. Done a good amount of work, but still have a large amount left.

I think I've said before that I find this an interesting quest, especially looking forward to see how playing as a Lynel will affect things. So I hope you keep moving forward and finish this quest :-)

I think I've said before that I find this an interesting quest, especially looking forward to see how playing as a Lynel will affect things. So I hope you keep moving forward and finish this quest :-)

Thanks. In a lot of ways he plays similarly to Link. There are things I’d like to do differently, but those things may be a bit too much to work with. It definitely affects the story and dialogue and parts of the gameplay. Like normally allied characters being enemies.

That demo is good to play too. I haven’t changed anything about those dungeons in the main quest. And the Lynel Base does show some of the ideas I have for the game.

Alright, I like those ideas for certain!

Can the playable Lynel character also shoot fire bolts like the original Lynels? I think that could be easily added, I can even script it for you if you'd like
