PureZC Fall 2024 Expo
Hello everyone! As promised in a recent announcement, the Fall 2024 Expo is here, and submissions are officially open!
For those unfamiliar with the Expo, it is a showcase for the latest ZC content from our members. The goal is to provide a platform for you to display your hard work, share future content, and receive constructive feedback—all in one place. This event boosts individual project visibility and fosters community engagement, so don't hesitate to participate! Everyone is welcome to join in!
To submit an entry, simply create a new topic within this forum. There are no strict requirements for the format of your topic, allowing you to creatively present your content in the best possible way. Once you post your topic, it will automatically be hidden from view. Therefore, before submitting, please read the guidelines below to ensure your submission meets all the criteria. Also, preview and proofread your post to ensure everything looks perfect before clicking "Post".
Allowed Expo Submission Content
- Quest projects and work-in-progress tilesets, tiles, scripts, music, etc.
- Quests and tilesets completed since January 1st, 2024
We are quite flexible with Expo submissions, so don't feel completely constrained by the guidelines above! If your submission doesn’t meet the criteria, we'll let you know. If you're unsure about anything, feel free to ask any staff member directly or post a reply in this thread.
Submission Guidelines
- Multiple Submissions: You can submit multiple entries to the Expo.
- Image Hosting: PureZC will host up to 15 images for each submission. Link your images within your post using an external image hosting site like Imgur, and we will transfer them to PureZC's hosting for you. You may include more than 15 images, but any beyond the first 15 will need to be hosted externally.
- Quest Demo Hosting: PureZC will host one quest demo per submission. Link your demo using a service like Dropbox, and it will be moved to our hosting. If your quest or demo includes audio files in formats like .MP3 or .OGG, these must be separated from the quest and linked separately due to copyright concerns and server space limitations. However, you can bundle MIDIs and tracker files (.IT, .XM, .MOD, .SPC, .GYM, .NSF, .GBS, or .VGM) with the quest, and we will host them.
- Editing Submissions: If you become aware of a mistake after posting your submission, contact any staff member for minor edits. For major changes, create a new submission, and we will replace the original for you.
- Professional Presentation: Hide your signature to maintain a professional appearance!
- Optional Polls and Feedback Questions: You may include a poll to gather feedback easily, though it is not required. Feel free to ask specific questions to get detailed feedback. Your submission is your own, so format it as you like!
Submission Deadline: Sunday, September 21st, at 11:59pm EDT
(Note: EDT stands for Eastern Daylight Time. If you are unsure what time that corresponds to in your timezone, simply Google "11:59pm EDT" and Google will automatically convert the time to your specific timezone based on your location.)
All submissions will be available for viewing in this forum the day after the submission deadline! Once available, we encourage everyone to check out the amazing submissions on display and provide constructive feedback to support our fellow members. Thank you for reading, and we hope you enjoy this year's Expo! We can't wait to see your submissions!
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to post in this thread or contact a staff member.
Best of luck, everyone!
