Ms. Hunt did not give a cause of death. In a statement, she asked for respect for the privacy of “his family and friends during this horrible time” but declined to comment further. Information about survivors was not immediately available.

For a lot of people, the character of Tommy Oliver largely defined the show, either in his Green Ranger or White Ranger appearance. Both are synonymous with a time when the show stopped being numbingly formulaic and started to get a bit more serialized.

He now joins Thuy Trang in rest, who played Trini on the show and passed in 2001.

Several actors from Mighty Morphin, specifically, have since passed away.

I suppose it's worth remembering them all, as there are quite a few, but not all as prominent or even credited actors. Here's a list of those that appeared in Mighty Morphin', specifically:
(Most of these are voice actors, indicated by "VA")

{-Actors representing the rangers in civilian forms, or unhelmeted morphed forms-}

Bob Papenbrook - Rito Revolto VA
  • Saliguana VA
  • Showbiz Monster VA

It's worth noting that Shiro Izumi has spoken on the recent loss, regarding the Power Rangers cast as an extended family to that of Super Sentai.

Shiro Izumi played Dragon Ranger Burai in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' source material. Unlike Tommy, who simply lost his powers, Burai actually died during the run of the show. To have his surviving actor speak out regarding the loss of Jason Frank is very touching.
