It's already been said, but this is a great week for shots.

 

Astromeow: Loving the blue thing. I don't know if you made the tiles yourself or if they're from somewhere I don't recognize, but they work well here. The angle of the stairs on the left look slightly perplexing to me though.

 

Jared: Damn, Jared. It's like you took your love of angled open fields and made it new again. I think Shane said it best by stating that it looks like something from the real world in ZQuest. Also, I love seeing Link on a horse.

 

Dawnlight: This is a great shot in location we're not used to seeing. This actually looks like quite a fun area to play in a quest.

 

Mudkipz: I love me some GBC, and this is an amazing use of it. Quite unique, and I love the demonic-looking Cucco.

 

This was difficult for me, but in the end I wound up voting for Jared.

I did vote for Astromeow (that shot reminds me of Final Fantasy), but now that he's banned (tsk tsk, he's probably getting a lump of coal from Satellite Claus this year ), I was reconsidering changing my vote. But since I'm in a good mood, I won't.

Everyone else did a good job this week as well.

I love that FNaF screen shot, hope that becomes a game! but I went for Dawnlights because its just so darn good.

I already cast my vote a few days ago, but I'll take the time now to review the shots.

Astromeow: The deep blue hue is different than what I commonly see in ZC. It gives the screen a convincing night-time feel. Further, the screen is designed well: the strategic placement of building tiles makes the area feel larger than it really is. Voted here.

Jared: Very nice! The screen layout is just about perfect. The stone pathway tiles look good, but they leave me with the feeling that there's something that could be done to make them meld better... Maybe it's that the transition from pathway to grass is unrealistically abrupt. I'm not sure. Still a beautiful shot.

Dawnlight: I don't think I've ever seen a shot with four bridges! It looks like an area I'd like to explore more, though it's tough to infer much from one picture.

Mudkipz: This shot made me smile. You included many subtle but effective references to Five Nights at Freddy's minus, presumably, the jump scares! It's a creative take on an old favorite, but it seems to exist only as a gimmick.
