Map of the Year 2017: Deku Bracket

5. Shane (MotM 87)

Co-developed by Avataro.

3. Demonlink (MotM 85)

Behold, the North area of the entire Lydian Overworld of Hylian Legacy. Such a mighty map this would have been...

10. Sheik (MotM 92)

Shane:
Looks like a gopher had too much asparagus and ripped up a paper airplane with its tail.

Demonlink:
Looks like a lemur dropped its apple and threw a caterpillar's uncle through a ceiling made out of glass.

Sheik:
Looks like you took a potato chip... AND ATE IT then dropped the resulting residue on a gallon of kale and released it to the public as "prescription marijuana".

They're all good. Voted for Shane for a reason that I have properly explained.

Because all three maps are good and 5 people decided they preferred Shane's a little bit more.

Demonlink - A very nice collection of areas, my favorite is the snowy area. It's a shame this won't be completed but regardless, it's still great for what it is. Good job.

Sheik - Definitely a stellar map. I don't know if the palette screams Kokiri Forest to me but it works. My favorite part of the map is the transparent water effects.

Because all three maps are good and 5 people decided they preferred Shane's a little bit more.

But that... That's unheard of!  :wow:

I had to vote for Demonlink this time. There was once a time when DoR was overused, but having not seen it in the spotlight for quite some time makes seeing it here a nice change of pace. Yay, trends. :D

Shanataro's is also a really solid entry, and it's rare we see entire world maps. I've given my accolades to the use of the GB block to make the entire solid sections, but I'll say it again here. Sheik's is obviously amazing, and there's really not much I can say. I just like DoR mountains a bit more then GB mountains, is all. :P

Voted for Demonlink. It's a pretty map, and it's not a mockup like the other two.
