trash show really, though i'd be lying if i said i haven't watched a lot of episodes. literally ever episode is the same really, some guy brings in the mona lisa and wants 4 billion for it, they get an "expert" to come in, and then they say "i don't really know if i can sell this, i'll give you $400" and the person walks away disappointed

I'm disappointed it's not "Prawn Stars" because I could sure go for some shrimp right about now.

meh, it suffers from being the exact same episode every episode. i feel like it used to be better but that could just be nostalgia, it's literally been on for over half my lifetime though so it makes sense that it probably used to feel and be shot differently.

 

one of the problems is it's actually slightly too "good". despite the wacky heavily scripted interpersonal antics, the actual running of the store is straightforward and seems pretty competent.  i don't know that i buy that rick is an expert on every single war in the history of mankind, but he knows his profit margins for gold and silver and there's not really potential for failure in the show.
