Interesting thing about every release of Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3. They never, ever fixed the issue of the map intermittently inverting (ie: you'd be looking at it from beneath instead of from above and you can't rotate the view past a side-on look even when the map is working right.)

Yeah it's real, sometimes if you mess with the map enough you can rotate the map past the side-on limitation and view the map from the other side.

Yeah, that does happen. I always thought it was just me, or some weird optical illusion. Glad to see I'm not the only one who noticed it. It never really bothered me though. I liked the map, and haven't seen any other game try a 3D map quite like that. I think it could work for Zelda, if dungeon designs get more complex.

Hey, ever wondered why there hasn't been any updates on Metroid Prime 4 since it was announced back at E3 2017? Well, Nintendo finally gave an update on the game, and it's quite a bombshell:

It seems they were not satisfied with the development of the game, thinking that it wasn't going to live up to the quality of the previous games. So they had to make the decision to start over with the game's development. The good news is Retro Studios is now getting involved in the game's development.
I'm kind-of relieved that they didn't cancel the game, because the wording in the update video made it seem like they were going to.
