Im unsure how to make these work. When I collect one it doesnt show in the inventory. Any idea how to use these? Im trying to prevent a break in the game from happening. Thanks!

When you pick one up, it increments the 'Level Keys' counter for the current level. The level is set in the current DMap, in the 'Level' field. It appears as a counter, which you will need to have set properly on your passive subscreen in order for it to display.

So id make a seperate counter for these and under properties change it to level specific keys?

Possibly, but if you already have a global keys counter, you should just be able to change that to level-specific keys under its properties (attributes tab).

If you want a single counter for keys:

If you are using 2.53.1, or 2.55

Edit your passive subscreen, select and edit the counter for KEYS by right-clicking it an choosing Properties.

Select the Attributes tab.

If Item 1 is 'Gen Keys w/Magic':

Change the pulldown 'Item 2' from 'Rupees' to 'Level Keys w/Magic'

If 'Item 1' is Ge. Keys w/o Magic:

Change the pulldown 'Item 2' from 'Rupees' to 'Level Keys w/o Magic'

If you are using 2.53.0

You can try using the selection on only 'Item 1', 'Any Keys w/Magic' or 'Any Keys w/o Magic', to match what you had on General keys; which is required for older versions that do not properly implement 'Item 2' and 'Item 3'--these tally multiple items in one counter.
