Non-ASCII characters definitely mess up things, I did try to reproduce with that but couldn't even get far enough to select a quest so I figured your problem could be something else. But somehow you were able to load a quest file. I'll look into better support for such paths.

In the meantime I believe the latest build that may work for you without changing any paths would be: https://github.com/A...htly-2023-07-31or maybe even the one right after; before the recent saving refactors.

Have you ever tried Alphas more recent than 107?

After putting ZC at C:\app, the quest file is loaded properly at the moment. If I encounter a loading problem again, I will report. Thank you for your helps.

I watched other players' videos, and they seem to take much lesser damage than me. Can I get an item like the blue ring somewhere? Or my misunderstanding?

There's no blue ring in the quest. They shouldn't be taking less damage than you, though. Can you give an example of an enemy that does more damage to you than to another player in a video?

Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to hear if the blue ring item is there or not.

I take 50 damage per 1 hit from Captain Shelrond, other players take 8 damage in their videos. I guess 1 heart = 16 in older versions, 1 heart = 100 in newest version, so actual damage is the same. So that was my misunderstand.

Oh, yeah, that would be the reason. We originally had the damage numbers scale at 16 = 1 heart, because that's how it's calculated internally. Emily complained that it was silly that the player took damage on that scale when enemies took damage in the 100s, and we agreed, so we changed it. so 100 = 1 heart. None of the damage actually changed, just the numbers that are displayed.

One Hymnstone seems to be in Mirage Island. But I can't find it. What should I do to get it?

There's no hymnstone in Mirage Island, though there are a few hidden goodies there.

 

Are you short one hymnstone? There's two that aren't counted in the subscreen area descriptions cuz they're on minor islands without area descriptions. One's on Tombol Reef, a little west of Wahiokala, and one's on the Three Brothers, just west of Carn Ruins.

So with that... I'll be honest, I have no idea what's causing the counter to increase there. It should say 0/0. Something you pick up there (money in the cave? Battery packs?) is causing it to increase to 1/0 (as if you'd collected 1 hymnstone out of 0 total). I'll look into it and see if I can't figure it out.
