I know it's possible to change what they look like by simply editing their tile, but that would change them throughout the game. Is it possible to have them look different for just one dungeon?

I've messed around a bit with the enemy editor, but don't understand how to make them appear on screen if you select them like regular enemies. That is, not by clickeng the box in E Flags, or putting down a flag, but assigning them in the enmy list.

Can you create copies of traps with altered graphics? Does the copy not appear in the enemies list?

EDIT: Or do they not appear doing it like this? I think that's what you're saying.

You can indeed create copies of the trap enemies and place them in the enemy list. They function how you expect but they cannot be placed via the trap placement flags in this case.

When I put them in the enemies list they don't appear in game. It's not like I expected them to do so because of course they don't just get slapped down randomly like a Gibdo, they have to be placed. So I thought it would be in some combination with a flag? But the flags generate their own traps. When you put a trap in the enemies list, what is it supposed to do?

Maybe you can use a small script to change the traps' sprites as the player enters the room.

That's weird. They should be able to be placed. Did you try the Enemy 0/Enemy 1/etc flags? Those spawn the enemy right on those flags. Also, make sure the Trap has HP, otherwise it will instantly die.

I did indeed try the enemy placement flags, and no go. The default hp for traps is 2 so I just left it that way. Any other ideas?
