I don't know how you, others handle your quest design process...
...when I stuck, wait for help (scripting etc.) or I am just creativly blocked, it's easier for me work on another project.
It's just a way to clear up my mind, til I have some new ideas or have a clue how to handle issues.

What about you?
Do you stay at one project, til it's finished or do you like "criss cross building", too?

For the only two quests that I've made thus far, I made each of them one at a time without switching between other projects. I spent a little over two months for both of them in which I worked nonstop. For the first one, Darkside 66, it ended up being a somewhat short quest and I had a lot of unused ideas by the time I finished it. Some of these ideas ended up being incorporated into my second quest, Darkside 66: Cyclebreaker, which also ended up sharing some similar framework to the first quest while also expanding upon it. That second quest was my biggest project yet and was mentally exhausting near the end of its development. Regardless, I was dedicated to getting it done quickly before I lost my interest, even if it meant cutting some corners. I think a part of this came from a fear that if I stay away from a project for too long that I wont know what to do with it when I finally come back to it.

Years ago, before I worked on either of those quests, I had tried working on multiple projects at once, but none of them got finished (though one of them ended up having elements reworked into Darkside 66). I think part of that may have been because I was a bit inexperienced at the time (and to be fair, there's still things I have yet to learn) and didn't have a proper grasp of what I was actually trying to accomplish with those early quests. Working on just a single quest at a time was what ended up working for me personally, though I understand that some people may benefit more from going back and forth between multiple projects.

Just a quick heads up that I moved this thread to the correct forum.

Though to answer the question, I try my best to stick with one project at a time, but if I really get a block then I start up another (usually smaller) quest to fill up the gap a bit. And then if I get bored of that, I go back to the quest I was originally supposed to finish.

...or I just stop working on both and forget about ZC for a few months (hello AR3)

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
Sometimes I am not sure which topic belongs to which forum.

I thought it was Member Specific, somehow :)

Thanks for moving it.

Currently, I have three projects that I am working on.
But I don't mess 'em up, so it works fine, for me.

Soon I will continue, to work on the first one (A Fairytale Princess).
...with all the knowledge I learned while working on the others.
(for example, I will rearrange a few headers and my global script)

I have like five work in progress quests right now that I still look at, does that answer your question?

Absolutely! :)

And btw...
It's cool to see that I am not the only "weirdo" criss cross builder, here.

Some say, working on more than one project must be confusing, but for me it's definitly not.
Like I said, it's a chance to clear up my mind, learn new stuff and get new ideas.

At any given time I have about 5 or 6 quests going. My incompletes/lost quests probably number at least 40.

I used to have multiple quests going when I was working on them around a decade ago.

These three had been shown off, but where never finished.
My first quest (unnamed),
Harvest Moon Quest,
3D Quest with no name.

I also had at least two others that I had begun working on, but never got very far.
Link's Awakening remake,
Crappy Quest,

I also had quite a few that never made it past the idea point, and I don't wanna list what some of those where....

Currently I am just working on one quest, but I may be starting some others soon?
