I would like to request a script that works for a sword or a wand.

 

The script should remove the item from Link's inventory when:

 

-Link slashes an enemy

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D0

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D1

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D2

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D3

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D4

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D5

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D6

-Link slashes a combo with the flag specified in D7

 

Or if that's too difficult, a script that removes the item from Link's inventory after he slashes with it once.

 

(I've tried every non-script idea I could think of to pull this off)

Only works on wands and swords that shoot magic or beams, mah boi :eng101:
 
I did say that I tried many non-script ideas, that was an early one ;)

I did say that I tried many non-script ideas, that was an early one ;)

 

That's.. a really random, and weird limitation o_O.

I would assume it has to do with the fact that the wand can still be used as an infinite melee weapon after it's out of magic, and the magic blasts are the aspect that's being counted to drain the magic meter, whereas there's probably not a mechanic to count slashes.

 

And something similar with the sword, where you can still infinitely slash your sword even if you lose the ability to shoot sword beams, and the sword beams have a mechanic to check a number of hearts or magic to allow/prevent firing.

 

I haven't looked at the code, and I wouldn't understand it, that's just me taking a guess in the dark.
