I don't know if this will work or not, but give it a shot and see what happens.

Set up a blank combo, but give it an inherent flag of a secret combo. (That is, the flag you can set when you're editing the combo) From here, set the secret combo in the secret combo menu like you would normally. Now set the FFC as the blank combo you made. If my theory is right, it when the secret is triggered, it should trigger the inherited flag from the combo, but I've never tried this and I'm not sure if it'll work.

Err... I mean appear as in exist, not graphically appear. I want it set up so that there's a combo that looks like the FCC that, when it's hit with an item, creates the FCC in that spot and turns into the same combo as the rest of the floor/ground. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Are FFCs supposed to use any combo flags from the combos assigned to them, such as Bomb Trigger or Damage (X), etc.? If so, do they use the undercombo or secret combo, or is there a different, expected, way of doing this?

When I set one up using a combo that is set s a bomb trigger, it did nothing, so I redrew the tiles and set them as standard combos for the present.

FFCs do seem to use some combo flags and types, but not all of them. I think you should just experiment to see what works and what doesn't.

Jeez, I used to know this... Do FFC'S apply to non-centered doors?

What do you mean by that? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

What I maen to convey is whether FFC's  should be used to create non-original zelda doors, those that are offset from the middle of the walls...I'd like to get a one-way shutter about two combos to the left of the right hand side of my screen.  However, I have recently been informed that to use Fox's script for free form doors would be better.  Here's the link for the topic:  http://www.purezc.ne...topic=66163&hl=

Sorry to have this in two places, oh great moderators!

I don't want to make a new thread so I'll ask here. Is there a newer guide on this anywhere? This thread is 10 years old, and I'm sure there's been some changes since the 2.11 betas. :P

Well yeah, this thing becomes obsolete just over a third of the way in, where the 7th screenshot says to edit a combo and set the type to "FF Combo Attr. Change." But it's taken Mero over 5 years to not get an answer to the same question, so, best to find something else to do while waiting :P
