Doomknocker

It's hard enough to make an enemy look like a suit of armor when stripes
result in a "mummy look", but trying to incorporate a personality into armor
on top of that is a real challenge.

Anyways, halfway through the design phase I forgot that this fellow doesn't
move his arms except for his backswing, so you now have two versions to
choose from. This first version is true to Zelda II, in that his only arm movement
is found in his backswing:

While in this version, he swings his arms as he walks North or South:

EDIT:
I designed this for CSet 7 (Blue), but it was easier to see in CSet 8 (Red), so that's why it's red -
I forgot to go back to CSet 7 before I exported the images icon_rolleyes.gif

So just bring it into ZC as CSet 8 and then switch to CSet 7 icon_smile.gif

Hey everyone. icon_smile.gif Blackbishop, I just wanted to let you know that I asked Cukeman permission to use some of his enemy tiles. I'm assuming that'll be okay with you? Since my quest is in BS, I'll be editing them heavily to fit my tileset. Your kickass Classic-style Z2 enemies will still be unique.

(Whether or not my BS version will be kickass will depend on how successful I am with my edit attempt...)

Nice work there Radien. icon_thumbsup.gif The flying eye enemy is a little outline happy. Maybe make the top part of the enemy's shadow the darkest orange you have? Otherwise it still works.

The Moa (flying eye) doesn't have any more of a black outline than the other enemies, so if you're noticing it more, it's probably because there's less detail inside the lines. I was happy that it was small enough to rip directly. I guess the quality is bothering other people more.

To tell the truth, I dread drawing something like that flying eye more than the humanoid creatures. There's something about how it is round, textured, and abstract that makes it hard for me to draw. Plus I don't have much to base the north/south sprites on.
