Hey, dropping in and it's great to see that my first SoTW has been coming along so nicely! Thanks to everyone who showed their support. Now, as is custom...
 
Pretty nice screen design, Anthus! Adding in Pansers as custom enemies was an interesting design choice, but you've got some serious bit-clashing with that lava. Lower it to 3 NES colors + optional black and it should work nicely.
 
Oh ho ho ho! You sly Scooter, you! And I bet it was that pretty minty-green palette that almost did me in. I'll definitely have to look into making something like that for Koten!
 
Nice, nice...I'm not really seeing any problems with Eddy's unique screen, so he'd get my vote. The palette is a great choice and personally, I think the wall-brown cacti create a nice flow in the palette. Green would have just added an unecessary additional color to the center...My only nitpicks are that you should have a bit more order to your floor detailing. Try restricting the more detailed floor tiles to the edges of the room instead of scattering them about.
 
Nicklelegends, I think you could have done a bit better. The little mistakes throughout the screen just add up. The cliff in the lower right doesn't look quite natural to me, and the slight asymmetry of the screen is really offputting. Good luck next SoTW.

People, the nature of DFW's avatar has nothing to do with this thread or anything discussed within, please keep things on-topic. Anyway, I haven't done one of these in a while...

 

Anthus - It's a decent dungeon screen and I enjoy the lava effect, but as a screenshot, it honestly doesn't stand out very much. It also kind of bugs me how the walls around the dungeon have that bright effect in the lines but it turns back to black on the doors.

 

Scootaloo - A very lovely screen, aesthetically pleasing with no issues to it. Has an atmosphere all its own.

 

EddyTheOliveira - Something bugs me about the wall torches, and the random changes in floor tiles seems off... but that's about it, otherwise it's a good screen.

 

DragonDePlatino - I get a very mystical feeling looking at this screenshot. I really, really enjoy how it looks and feels. I definitely like how this tileset is turning out, a lot.

 

nicklegends - Other than the odd mountain tiles on the bottom left sticking out from the corner, nothing to dislike about this screen, its design is pretty solid.
