Heya folks! It's that time again!

This tends to happen every once in a while. Solaris is just a HUGE project, and I have such limited time/inspiration/motivation to spend on it, that it's just been going on for ages and will continue to do so. But oh man, have we come so far. The end is almost nearly maybe close to about to be in sight. And so we must push ahead.

Okay, enough motivational speech. Time for business.

It seems we've lost some people! I regret to announce that Wolfo is on hiatus and Jackimus is MIA, so I'm gonna need a new composer or two.

So. Anyone here good with MIDIs? <selfpromotion>Anyone here want to be part of something truly EPIC?!</selfpromotion> Want to leave your grand old mark on Solaris? Let me know here or in a PM if you're interested in composing for Solaris!

P.S. I may start taking some inactive people off of the official dev team pretty soon. If you get removed, please don't be offended - that list just contains the currently-active members. Anyone who's contributed to the project in any way will still get a prominent place in the credits once it's all over.

So, now we need both a composer and a mapmaker. Is anyone willing to try their hand at either role?

To repeat: We need one composer and one mapmaker.

For the composer, I already have a general idea of what every needed song is.

For the mapmaker, we have the layout of the world built out in the 1st overworld; all that's left is the similar-but-different second one.

Living conditions aren't ideal right now so I have a lot on my plate regarding my wife and boys. Been out of touch with my musical side. But it's only a matter of time at this point, the ball has been rolling for us and when we get there I'm going to need a reason to compose. Will update. Keep the project alive man you've come too far to stop now!

Oh god I forgot that I offered to be a mapmaker.

Yeah, I could probably send some maps. I'm probably not the best at DoR, but I think I can still make some okay screens with it. Just give me some time to make up some maps...

 

...Or you could look at the dungeon (not the overworld) in my expo submission, which says all you need to know about my experience in DoR. Whether good or bad is up to you.

Your dungeon screenshots look pretty decent, but be advised that it's specifically the overworld that I need help with.

 

Given the lack of time I've been putting into this quest lately, I might reconsider letting someone else help with a dungeon or two, however. If overworlds really aren't your thing, perhaps we could start discussing the layout and content of the Earth or Light dungeons.
