You can sometimes just walk over 1-tile (maybe more) Pitfall combos. I don't know what causes it exactly. It doesn't seem to be Link's position because it will sometimes work or not work with the same coordinates. Have seen it happen moving every direction but downwards, but haven't tested it that extensively.

 

Have tested with Pull Sensitivity at 0 and 5, it's at 0 in the example quest.

...oh. Pull Sensitivity would do that. That's.... kinda part of how it works; it stops the pit from pulling you in, giving the player more ability to fight the pit. Clearly that should NOT allow you to move over it, but, I understand what's wrong from that. Personally I recommend a pull sensitivity of '1'.

 

Will try to add a sanity check that fixes this when I have the time...

I think he's saying that it also happens with 0 pull, if I'm not mistaken.
