I had a look at the photo earlier, it was clearly black and blue. I tried to make it change but it remained black and blue, so I thought the trick just didn't work with me. Then I saw it on another website, and this time it was white and gold. I double checked here, it's still white and gold. That's pretty amazing.
What Color is This Dress?

Which website? I really want to see if I can see white and gold when originally I am seeing black and blue.
Also, my school has been going NUTS about this. There were even really bad arguments about it which I kinda found futile. But still, this has trended around the world so quickly, it's insane.

I dropped it into photoshop, and randomly sampled colors come out to a muddy yellow and a mid/light-gray. If the dress itself is black and blue, that's one thing. So it's a crappy picture. But the picture itself is unambiguously gold and white/light gray. If you're seeing black and blue in the picture itself, THAT is the illusion.

Don't want to spark a debate, but I disagree. I put the picture into photoshop and I used the eye-dropper tool to determine what the colors are without doing any edits to the image itself. The colors are most clearly blue and a black-brownish color. I'm not sure what you did, but I don't think you found the colors correctly.
Here are links proving my claim.
As for the dress itself, it is definitely black and blue, but the image is still black and blue if you use Photoshop to determine that.
In any case, I don't want to cause a debate and also I don't want there to be a debate about this dress, especially not on PureZC. I'd be absolutely futile, so if one occurs (and I seriously hope it doesn't), I'm not posting in this thread anymore.

I don't want there to be a debate about this dress
I think this is something we can all agree on.
Of all the things to get into a debate over, this one is certainly not worth even a fraction of the time it's gotten on the web. I got a particular result and spoke up about it, but I don't care enough about the outcome to prove it to anyone. It's pretty inconsequential.

I've seen some people try to joke with the color combinations in other contexts (and either do okay or not so great) but this one takes the cake.

Okay, as soon as I saw Russ's post I went back to look at the area next to the dress in the image and it changed. U wot m8?
This happened to me too. WTF is going on? There was just a red streak and now theres a garbled alien looking thing. MY MIND
EDIT: I misinterpreted what you said. But still, something has changed about the area on the right.

A very light cyan and gold. I swear I am not even seeing the intended colours whatsoever, no matter how hard I try.

Sky/blue - Black/gold frilly lace ..?
That is only if people are saying they're seeing gold within
the black lace patterns color possibly - for all we know, it could actually be 'bronze or copper color lacing.'
Are you actually a 'real girl' just like me?

It appears to be gold and white.
