Is there a walkthrough video? I'm also stuck in Mario Cloning Dungeon, can't find the hammer, (mallet). Also stuck in the Pentagram Dungeon. I've accessed all rooms but the far bottom left and right corner rooms. They are locked and can't find out how to activate and open them.

Here is a Walktrough i made :D

Im now Beaten the game i think i found nearly all contend  only three heartpices i didnt found so i couldnt become the last sword as for your Quest it was in the beginning very confusing but i had lots of Fun with the quest it has a Similiar charme like mikes Fun House which was one of my Favorit Quests you found a nice way to use the Hockshot i can tell you :D The Story twist was realy funny and the Last big dungeon was nice its great to see how all is connected with the world and its funny to see my trys to reach were all late game content which i thought i must go there a lot earlyer The quest Overall i can say Great work and i would indeet see more Quests from you in the Future :D

It's good that you enjoyed it and congratulations on being the first (or one of the first) people to beat this.
I watched all the walkthrough videos. It was nice to see that most of the quest worked properly as tested and it was interesting to see people approach the dungeons in different orders.
I did notice in the Sky Gardens that you used the hookshot to cross over the houses. That was not the intended way to get to that path. It was actually burnable bushes.

That really dark room in Sorrow Castle....was I intended to keep slashing all the way to the key so I could see where it was safe to walk? The sword was invisible where the traps where...but visible where it was safe to walk. I did this all the way around the room to the key. I feel like this is unintended though....but the candle doesn't light the room....so....

The overhead layer is meant to guide you through the room. How I played it is by using the hookshot or boomerang to find the black squares. So yes, this was intended in sort of an unconventional kind of way.
And on that note, the way Lord Kronos got the boss key in the opposite room was unintended. I didn't expect the boss key to show up in the passageway. It was supposed to be under the tombstone with a tile in front of it of a different shade of red.

I know why. Those tiles I used are the same ones for the chasms you have to hookshot over. For whatever reason it never crossed my mind to make a non-hookshot version of those tiles, but I am putting together another update to fix this and a few other issues. Hopefully it will be the last update and then I can move on to another project.

I feel like I might possibly have enough ideas to make at least one followup to this quest, though I can't be certain if I will pull through with it yet. I worked on three big projects before this that never got finished, so I'm open to the possibility that my next quest might not get finished either. To be fair, I didn't even expect that I would have enough motivation to get Darkside 66 finished, but I worked on it anyways because it was what was fun for me at the time.

Recently I played, beat and really enjoyed this quest.
I thank the author very much for your great and wonderful work!!

By the way I couldn't get the master sword because of lack of
only heart container pieces.

These are what I found:

1. in front of entrance of Sanctuary
2. in the bush in H.Meadows, near the west end of the bridge
3. at the west of Armoses in Alien Ruins
4. in the bush in front of entrance of Sanctuary
5. on the rooftop of Mega Mart (Lv2)
6. by the pond at the east of entrance of Neon Park
7. at the northmost of Neon Park, beyond the pond
8. on the other side of the river in Alfheim
9. on the rooftop of Lv6
10. by the entrance of King's Tomb
11. in Nexus through the secret path from The Bone Zone
12. in the bush in Land of Sorrow, through the secret path from TBZ
13. near the switch in L.of Sorrow, through the secret path from TBZ
14. behind the boat in H.Meadows
15. under the water in Mario Clone Bros

I appreciate any help to find the last one!
Thanks in advance.

Glad to hear that you liked it. There's probably a good chance you might like the sequel as well.

As for the last heart container, I think it might be in Neon Park. So you know the scene with the plasma ball lamp and the NPC who wants to gamble? In the scene south of that one there is a bush that can only be reached by hookshot. That might have the piece you are looking for. Its not a huge deal if you miss the master sword in this quest, since its only optional, though I can understand if someone wants to go for 100% completion.

Hi Titanium Justice,

Thank you very much for your quick response!
I'm satitsified I finally got all HCPs and the master sword.
I had never paid attention that bush in Neon Park... What a place!

I like your design of every stages and scenes, which are full of unique and funny ideas.

Thank you too for telling me about the sequel, I shall try that!

The cheat code and password should be the same as the ones for Cyclebreaker.

So I've been playing through this after playing Cyclebreaker first.  I like it a lot even though I think the sequel is still slightly better.  My question is this -- What is the best/fastest way to grind for rupees?  Detroitus?  I just got to Sky Palace and my heart sank when I realized I need to grind for like 2500 more to get everything I want/need.

Back on Lunar Fragments there should be a wallet of infinite rupees. You can get it if you hookshot to a path leading to the area with the most death knights and kill them, assuming you can handle it at your current state. Otherwise, the best grinding spot is probably one of the scenes in the clone factory with many Marios in it.

I dont remember what all the items in the garden shops are, but I believe that Din's fire and the infinite bomb bag are not required. In retrospect, they should have been made cheaper or given away as prizes.

If you figure out the secret to getting to Cloud 9 early (in the very first scene of the garden), you can beat some of the bosses there which drop a lot of rupees, but you will need the boss key for the very last part.

Also, in case you haven't figured this out, keep in mind that there are two burnable bushes in the garden on the far left and right side that are each between a pair of blocks. I mention this because the one person who did a video walkthrough found a hookshot exploit instead that I may have patched out in the later versions.

Thanks.  I'll try the deathknights first.  I'm red and magic so with a red potion I may be able to get it done.

Edit:  There's a spot on both deathknight screens where you can stand and hit them with sword beams and they can't hit you.  It takes awhile but with creative use of the fire boomerang it's not terrible, and WAY faster than grinding for 3,000 rupees.  If one had the master sword it actually wouldn't take long at all.
