Of where the series actually made by Nintendo is going.

I'm presenting a quest that we haven't been able to have in a while- a quest similar in style of the 1st and 2nd quests, in which you are free to explore to your heart's content, where you can do the dungeons in different orders to an extent. I'm seriously sick of "Go beat Level 1, go explore limited part of overworld, go beat Level 2, etc."

Well, you're here for the demo, I guess... jerks. Story's pretty generic, kinda... of course, you don't know why it's called The Reverse Blade, so that will FOREVER REMAIN A MYSTERY. Or when I finish it. First 4 levels are accessible in the demo. And use Build 254 if you've got it, because 2.10 stopped working on me. icon_neutral.gif

Anyway.

The Reverse Blade- Demo 2

In case you're wondering what happened to Demo 1, ask Nathaniel icon_blah.gif Who, by the way, is an excellent beta tester.

Enjoy.

Also screenshots.

Again, though. BUILD 254!

Edit: Thanks to Alestance's testing, don't use the whistle on the overworld, unless you need to dry up certain lakes or remove certain stones.

Wow, nice screenshots. I always was confused by the system used by this quest and the original LoZ, but nonetheless, I think I'll give it a shot.

Looks pretty sweet, I will download and play when I have time.

Also, the palettes suck @$$ or do you use .GIF or .JPEG? If the last, use PNG's if you can, or else just BMP, because they don't decrease the quality.

NO. NO NO NO GOD NO. Never ever ever use .BMPs or I will murder ALL your pet badgers. .PNG is the way to go, baby.

The palettes are A-okay in my opinion. This looks like it'll be a great game when it's done. icon_smile.gif

Not to be picky, and shoot this down if you'd like, but do you mind showing us some screenshots of the dungeons too? I, um, have this thing about playing demos... I don't really. Unless I'm beta testing, which I tend not to do too often either.

So wait, then, what's this about 2.10 crapping up on you? Do you know why it doesn't work or is it just your computer or whatever? icon_confused.gif

Wow, can't believe I missed this. It looks very good, and I'm going to try it out as soon as I get the chance to. Looks fun to me. But yeah, >.>, the palette looks a little off.

Oh, yeah, I started some slight progress on this again. Fixing up the overworld and secrets and stuff, mostly. And some changes in music. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to make Level 5 completely nonlinear...

Demo v. 2.5

Runs on Build 731 (or higher, I suppose). This one goes to level 4, like the previous one sorta did, but this one has a lot of bugs fixed, including the bugs with using the whistle on the overworld, most (hopefully all) of the caves should be fixed, and all the dungeons should be perfectly fine.

Just some quick tips:

1.) I have a love for bombable walls and walk-through walls.
2.) I recommend finding the boomerang before going to Level-1

Just enjoy... and someone please play this icon_frown.gif especially if you love classic style quests...

You got me at "if you love classic style quests". *downloads* I'll play it and tell you what I think of it.

Edit: That's strange. It won't download. icon_confused2.gif

o_O Let me fix this real quick. I'll give you the cue when you can download.

Edit: Okay, Mediafire is being a d-bag today. I'm trying another hosting site.

Demo v. 2.5 WORK DAMMIT

Oh, so I would appreciate if you would comment on the music, I'm kind of a music perfectionist...

(If this doesn't work, I'll get back to it when I get home from an artist's collaboration.

Okay, it works now. I'll try it out.

Edit: Just beat level 1. Looks good so far. Just add an overworld map. I hate not being able to pull up the map.
