After thinking about it again, I think both versions are unique in it's own way. Both look very nice, it is really up to you wich one you will choose and if you use DoR then that's okay! I suggest looking for nicer palettes though. Please check out this thread: http://www.purezc.ne...showtopic=56048

I dunno yet, I rather continue the DoR version, since more people have wanted it :/ sorryNow that I'm looking at it more. I think you should continue in the Gameboy style for now. I'd much rather honestly play that version than a DOR tileset version. It looks too...plain in the new tileset. Please finish this as a Gameboy tileset game! I won't play it any other way!

1. The tiles fit together better, and the shapes you are using are more forgiving in the GB tileset.
2. The DOR pictures don't look like a properly built DOR quest. They don't have the proper depth and scale. The interiors look particularly bland.
3. The GB tileset looks more 'open', like there is more to explore. In contrast, the DOR tileset tends to look 'zonal', and you feel kind of like you already know what is on the next screen.
If it were me, I'd just build new sand and grass tiles for the GB tileset to better match the DOR feel, because those are the only things I think the DOR tileset does better. (At least, in these screenshots.)
Just my two cents...
