Requirements:

  • Create a simple standard light world shot. It can be any basic setting (village, forest, lake, volcano, etc.) using any tileset of your choice.
  • The catch is to create another similar shot featuring a parallel world that isn't the standard dark world setting. A frozen world, a volcanic one, maybe a floating one in the sky... it's all up to you!

Geoffrey - Very nice job here. I like the whole "before" and "after" scenarios with the two screenshots. Love the screen design yet again too. Good job here.

Rocks4Free - This reminds me a lot of Faron Woods, where it gets all flooded later on in the game. Nice screen detail too. Good job.

Joelmacool - I really like the concept of this screen. It feels very Parallel Worlds-like and it looks really awesome. Nice work.

Overall, it was pretty close between Geoffrey and Joelmacool, but I went for Joel for this week.

Geoffry: I voted for this. It is a really cool, and it looks like a side scrolling Koten in some ways. I'm kind of a sucker for custom drawn side scrolling shots.

Rocks4Free: I really like the idea here. The only thing I don't like is the way the pond looks underwater in the center of the screen. I think it would vastly improve it to make it only two tiles deep, and make the floor of the pond visable, cause right now, with that deptth, it is reminding me of a blue hole :P

Joelmacool: This does a good job at showing the ravages of time. I like this one, but I like the side scrolling one more.

And does Instrumentality count as a non-Classic set? What about Demo set? :tard:
