I've gotten a PS4 a little while ago. It's not a Pro model, just a standard system. I read earlier today that PSVR headsets will work with a standard system, and that the Pro is mainly just for slightly clearer visuals and better draw distance. I even watched a couple comparison videos, and I figure that the standard PS4 seems perfectly acceptable.

The thing that really got me fascinated was having found that there's a way to use a PSVR headset on a PC, and it working just as well as a PC-dedicated headset. So, now I have a couple questions, and since there isn't a way for me to just try it myself without buying a full setup, I was hoping that at least one person here had one and could answer me.

First up, how's the FOV? I tried using a cheap cell-phone headset, and it was pretty disappointing. For comparison's sake, I wear prescription eyeglasses. Would it be anything like being able to see like the clear part of my vision when wearing glasses?

Second question. How are things as far as motion sickness? Again, I've never used a real VR headset, but I'm the kind of person who's never gotten motion sickness, even when doing things like reading or playing games in a moving car. Since I know things are different for each person, I guess the easiest way to clarify would be something like... If I was sitting in a chair and had my character in-game standing still. If I move my head to look around, would I notice a delay between moving my head and my view-point moving? I would guess that a noticeable delay in something like that would be what would give me headaches. I'm fairly certain that moving my character would be fine.

Final question. Like I said, I would probably be sitting in a chair still, or facing my computer most of the time. I don't think that I'd need it to register me spinning 180 degrees, and I'd probably avoid doing so anyways for fear of getting tangled up in cords. So, how much movement can you make and still have the game able to track you? Yeah, I mentioned wanting to jury-rig a connection to my PC, but I use the same television for my PS4 as I do for my PC monitor, so I'd still most likely be either at my desk or directly in front of it. (Also, I'm in a small college dorm room, so I wouldn't have room for walking around freely anyways.)

Anyways, like I said, there isn't anywhere local that does demo stuff to show off how these work, and headsets are pretty expensive. I'd really like to get a general idea what to expect before trying to get one for myself, and most of the articles that I found that talk about it sound kind of like commercials, so I'm not sure how much is legitimate information and how much is trying to sell me something.
