Well, I just decided to vote for Shoelace. I looked at his shot again, and it's one of the best shots I've seen him produce for a long while, so I had to give my vote of approval.
Ian:
Ahh... Okay, well I am glad you are doing something new this time. I hope it works well, although they sound more like "traps" or "puzzles" after a fashion, from what you've said.
Linkus Mastii:
Those sand tiles are actually from Seiken Densetsu 3. The alignment of the tiles is exactly the same as mine, but I've seen other people use the tiles in the same way (Jonathan, or Phos. Image, or both) who most definitely did rip them from an emulator. So I guess I just correctly guessed how to align them properly, because we all did it the same way, and it works. Interesting coincidence.
Anyway, I don't claim to own those sand tiles; anyone can use them for all I'm concerned. In fact, since they're so commonplace now... Hmm... I think I may have a new loose tile submission tomorrow.

Wow.. This makes me want to start back Zquesting. Well all of these screens look pretty well made. I think I would go with IaN. I really like those characters. Great job!

Well fine, I guess you didn't rip them from emulator, but the other two of us did; I'm fairly sure I remember that. And still, the fact that they were aligned the same was an interesting coincidence, as I remember seeing several ways I could have ripped them.
I was never able to find the tiles in the SD3 set... if I'd known they were there I wouldn't have opened up ZSNES just to hunt down new sand tiles. Anyway, they're in Loose Tiles now, which is none the worse for them since the SD3 set is pretty discouraging to navigate.
