Step->Next and other combos that require Link be on the center of it doesn't take diagonal movement in account. Even then, there's some weird quirks you can do to avoid these combos.

I would like a script that makes all Step combo types (which should be about 8 ) able to detect that Link's on them better. It doesn't have to be really sensitive, but it does need to be sensitive enough that Link cannot walk on the edges of Step combos and not trigger them.

You can't change the behaviour of these built-in combo types and I don't see any other tricks like changing links hitbox or something available. That'd mean one has to rescript their functionality.

And that is indeed what I'm asking for.

All the warp types too? Heres some step triggers by me: https://www.purezc.n...=scripts&id=162Moosh has also made a script, which is more complex with much more functions. You can't adjust the hitbox of these things though, but its better than the half-hitboxes of built-in ones.

I don't recall with certainty, but the 'Damage Combo Sensitivity' value in the Screen Data editor may also affect these.

But there's Link->HitXOffset/Link->HitYOffset? I assume it affects combos, but I haven't tested it.

This is the sort of thing that you want:

More Sensitive Step Combos

That should affect:

Step->Next
Step->Next(all)
Step->Next(Same)
Step->Next(Copycat)
Step->Secrets(Permanent)
Step->Secrets(Temporary)
Step->Secrets(Permanent, Sensitive)
Step->Secrets(Temporary, Sensitive)

Note: The sensitivity behaviour would be identical for 'sensitive' types using that script.

It's also untested.

Have fun tinkering with it.

I'll give it a looksee and report back if anything's amiss. Thanks for the directions.
