It's been a little over a year since I posted news of my game.

I will reassure immediately, the project is still progressing and with excellent pace. I have done a lot of things since the last time. Since the month of September, I pause for the 23 maps (type overworld, 15 completed, 5 started). Currently, I focus on indoor places like houses, caves, ruins, etc. This part of the development allows to advance in the depth of the game and especially the scenario.

Of course, the project is still very far from the end, but the progress is very good. I still hope to finish in about 2/3 years. The important thing is that I keep the pace I have since April 2017. :)

As a reminder, I do not speak English, I use Google Translate to communicate. Please excuse me if I make mistakes in words.

The coming of version 2.55 is really good news for me ! With the addition of several pages for the tiles, I could now do many more things like image scenes because I lack space in the tiles. I also hope that one day an addition for the items, as this could give me more opportunity to create various items that can make the game richer (even if the tiles were much more important for me).

However, I have to wait for a version 2.55 that fixes a bug in the added tiles (can not use Leech and especially refuses animated combos from an added tile).

For the moment, I remain on version 2.53 where I continue to progress well in my quest. It's almost possible to play from the beginning of the game until the end of the 4th dungeon (I still have to add little things to make the game longer between each dungeon). I also started recently the many caves of Hyrule, it is a part that may last a long time, because there are several hundred (large or small in the 10 maps reserved). In March or more likely in April, I will continue the other maps of Hyrule (maps that motivate me a lot to work and that I have deliberately reserved for the end of the development of the open world).

With the pace I have, there may be a chance that I will end the game for 2021, but I will not rush things to avoid doing a bad job that I might regret.

Are there going to be parts where you play as one of your new characters?

There are short parts of the game where you play some of my characters (the first comes very early in the game and is available in the 2017 demo, but it is very very short and without action). A little precision, these characters will not use any items obviously. It is possible that with the addition of tiles in the 2.55, I add other parts, but it remains to be confirmed and if it is worth it to do more.

These parts are often times when you have to sneak.

I am very happy to see that you are still following my very long project!

I think rather to release the final version of the game, a demo would make me slow down the work. Then, it's always better to be able to play the full game and not have to wait. The 2017 demo is happening in a fairly linear zone, which is not the case after the first dungeon where it is possible to visit a good part of the Hyrule areas. It is much more difficult to create a demo in a very free zone, unlike a linear zone.

I was currently editing the first post of the topic to show other progressions, those of interiors like houses, caves and other places. I thought it would be useful to see this progression also with Hyrule maps.

After 7 months working on indoor places (houses, various places and caves) and especially on my website that I finally finished, I'm preparing to go back to work on the maps of Hyrule until the end of the summer. I reserve a period of 6 months to work on the maps of Hyrule, the other 6 months for the interiors of the game. It allows me to avoid having too repetitive work because I admit to being a little tired of work on interiors and I have done a lot since September.

With the arrival of spring and summer, I am much more inspired to create maps of Hyrule and I would try to make 4 or 5 new maps over the next 6 months. There are 4 maps completely empty and 5 maps started. If all goes well and I respect the number of maps to complete, I may have finished Hyrule at the end of the summer of 2020. However, the work will not be finished, but I think I would not be very far from the end of development. It will still have to wait 2021 for a possible release of the game and in the worst case in 2022. The work on the caves of the game is particularly long, it is on this point where I doubt a little for 2021, but it remains to confirm of course.

I also noticed that I forgot to specify a detail that will be present in the game is the search for 200 Gold Skulltulas hidden everywhere. With this mini quest, the exploration side will be even more important. If you find these 200 Gold Skulltulas, you will have a great reward, but it's a secret! In Ocarina of Time, I loved this mini quest and it is natural that I implant it in my game.

Now, I'm leaving for Hyrule to join our young Link! He needs my help to finish his very long adventure! :D

We are in September! As expected, I made and finished new maps for Hyrule. There are 3 maps that are finished and another where there are 31 squares to finish (I think to finish it for October, because I take my time to build it). The summer was very hot in my country, my work was very slow, but I still almost respected what I had to do between March and September (4 or 5 maps to do in this period). When I have completed the 18th map of Hyrule, I will resume the work of indoor locations (houses, caves, others).

I took the opportunity to change the position of some maps of Hyrule. It is now possible to go around the kingdom.

The evolution of the work is always going very well! :)
