Demonlink - A little walk through town during the evening hours. It's as easy as Gameboy Zelda.
Charizard - Also as easy, but the screen is barren of as many features. But it's the subtle details that make it in this one.
Astromeow - This screen has two things going for it. The rest is just astro without the stars and the meow. No curiosity killed the cat here, though.
Avataro - Nice graphical effect. I would play an entire quest like this. Subscreen censored by Avataro.
Doctor Potts - No potts in this screen, but lots of other stuff for sure. The psychedelic forest is full of life, and Link is in the crossfire.
I almost forgot that I should vote in these things. My gameball goes to Avataro. It just has a certain charm to it that I fail to describe in words. Very good week overall though, so congrats go out to all the rest of the participants as well. Just not quite as much as the chosen one.

"Char" is 'ard to beat! (Guess who I voted for? )
Do I detect a hint of custom rock tiles? Also, sweet texture overall as well! Custom Link sprite is a plus, too.

I'm digging the 8-bit theme this week.
It was tough choosing between Demonlink and Charizard's wonderful GB shots, but I ended up voting for Charizard because... Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Moe...

Wouldn't it suck if Charizard wins by a single vote?

Perhaps, but it was the only logical way to choose.

"EZGBZ needs some love too"?
Nope. Nothing personal, but EZGBZ's the new DoR. So many people used it to avoid DoR that it's just as common, if not more common.
Doctor Potts got my vote!

I see a lot more classic quests in the database than quests using any other tileset though. Nothing wrong with DoR or EZGBZ (or classic, for that matter) in my opinion. The criticism "I'm tired of seeing X tileset, therefore, it sucks by default" is really flawed, in all honesty. But that's me, you know? I've been around the clock respriting/spriting a lot of things to make it look and feel new too, because of it.
Either way, I don't think I'll ever dream of switching to classic or another tileset after this amount of progress. If I get 2 stars on my quest for it being in EZGBZ, then so be it.

Well, the thing is, I only stated that they're common tilesets. I don't dislike them at all! You can look into my Loose Tiles and easily see that. It's just crazy assuming that it's an "underloved tileset".

Apologies for that. I misunderstood you for the whole "I'm tired of x tileset"-critique trend. Yeah, people think that's critique. It's been like that with DoR for a while now. It's not helpful at all since we always encourage to make quests the way you like it, then we say things like this. I honestly would hate to see people discouraging EZGBZ now because others are using it too, it really is a great tileset.

Well, when a tileset and another tileset love eachother very much, namely Pure and DoR, they make a baby tileset called Pure Remembrance, although DoR dumped Pure and left Pure with the baby Pure Remembrance to take care for the rest of its days.
Talk about taking a tileset down a dark turn.
