I don't drink soda anymore because I have GERD (reflux) problems, but while Dr. Pepper is sorta okay it was never my favorite (which is some sort of blasphemy in Texas as I understand it). Diet drinks in general tended to taste kinda weird and not as good, so I'd describe cold diet dr. pepper as very mediocre. When I did drink soda my favorite was Pibb Xtra, which has a cinnamon taste that's pretty different from Dr. Pepper. I also liked regular Coca Cola and Barq's.

i'll field this one. i briefly speedran zelda 1 in around 2015. most of this is from memory, so apologies if i get anything wrong

for a long time, people assumed it was about a 10th enemy in some room having a bomb as an item drop, but since enemies aren't numbered internally by the engine (nor are there "enemies carry items" rooms that have bombs in their drop sets) that didn't seem to be the case

it seems like it's actually a reference to a deeper mechanic within zelda 1 (that i actually don't know if ZC emulates? that'd be something to look into). i don't need to get into the nitty gritty of most of it, but there's a lot of info here (general item drops) and here (bonus item drops).
 
so, the bonus counter only goes up if Link kills enemies consecutively without taking damage (for some stupid reason whistle whirlwinds count as damage). for every 10 enemies killed (total) in the second counter, an enemy will always drop 5 rupees (100% rate). at the 16th enemy they're guaranteed to drop a fairy. except if you kill the 10th enemy with a bomb, they're guaranteed to drop a bomb. every 10 enemies you'll get a bomb, which i guess got translated as "10th enemy has the bomb".

 

it's not a particularly useful hint, given that it's given pretty late in the game when you've already needed to use a ton of bombs, and given that it overlooks the part where you need to bomb an enemy to get extra bombs back. but it's potentially marginally useful when you're deep in a dungeon and need to keep your bomb counts up (although i'd argue dodongos are just easier to get bombs from consistently...) and in a speedrun, it's actually pretty important to keep track of your enemy kill counts so you can get quick, guaranteed bomb drops without needing to grind for or buy bombs.

Afaik, ZC does not emulate "10th enemy" behavior, and it also handles dropsets in general entirely differently. Big sadge.
