Don't know if anyone still checks this forum but I just started playing this game.   I cannot for the life of me find the final regular key in the Stone and Chill level?   It appears I need it to get what I think is the boomerang.  If anyone can give me a hint that would be great.   I have the boss key and the other level item but I have looked everywhere for another regular key with no luck.   I think I have bombed all the arrow spots.

I think the key you're looking for is hidden behind a rock if I recall. I haven't played this quest in awhile. It's in a room near the top left corner of the screen.

Titanium Joopy did a Let's Play of this quest.

I finished this quest recentlly and enjoyed very much.
Especially I love the huge overworld, and of course, the long journey to Level 2 was incredibly exciting.
That was not kind of zelda-gaming, that WAS the adventure, which made me remember the feeling of playing Ultima IV in my childhood.
I really thank the authors, Twilight Knight and CastChaos.

Now I have 4 questions... could anyone help me or give hints?

1) The place I couldn't go #1
The south-most 2 blocks of Charles' Ruins, beyond the broken walls.

   (South of this screen)

   How can I go there?

2) The place I couldn't go #2
In Krelaila Desert, 1 block north and 1 block east from the magic bridge to Richard's Empire

   (East of this screen)

   How can I go there?

3) The place I couldn't go #3
Is there a cave in the waterfall in Halberd's Kingdom?

   (in this screen)

4) Is there any Heart container piece in Level 9 Temple of Life?
I found 59 HCPs all over the world so far, and one seems to remain there.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Redhouse,

Thanks a lot for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the quest!

1. You can't go there. Originally I planned you could, that's why it seems so open and accessible. Though I do see there's some spots on the minimap, I can't recall whether there's actually something there. Please let me check it on my PC tonight.

2. Ah, this is a place you can actually reach. If you go north and to the right before the gatehouse, there's a bridge and a cactus in the middle of the shifting sand. If you go down the bridge you can access the place you're talking about. There's a side quest there!

3. There is nothing behind this waterfall, but maybe I should've made something there... I'm not as clever as you. ;-)

4. There is no HCP in the Temple of Life. If I remember correctly I made it so there are just enough HCPs and not 1 too many. So I'm surprised to see you have full rows of heart but still am missing one HCP. Still, I can check this tonight on my PC. It must be you are missing one in the overworld.

Thanks for playing!

Hi Twilight_Knight,

Thank you for your quick reply, it's great to read messages from the creator of Krelaila world.

1) That's OK. So players can imagine whatever they want beyond the mysterious walls, that's fun.

2) You probably mean the gypsy things? (if so, that was a nice quest!)
My explanation should have been more practical about this.
There's just ONLY block where I coudn't go, as this image shows:
(I hope this image is comprehensive enough for you)

I will never mind if I can't go there, I just want to know whether accessible or not.

3) Oh, you're definitely clever and creative, please don't say that to such a greedy player like me :)
That beautiful water tile-set made me hope to swim there!

4) That's the answer I needed, thank you!

Thanks for the kind words :-)

2. Oh I guess you're right! That screen isn't accessible and I must've made a mistake with making the minimaps.

I'll check tonight to make sure that these things are true.

Those screens are just mistakes with the minimap:

This one is simply a travelling animation screen.

http://twccgaming.co...hostscreen2.png
And here I believe I originally intended to have a shop, but then ended up making one in the Secluded Bay in a cave.

Making the overworld so big had the disadvantage that I couldn't create huge areas that really explored the theme and concept of that particular area. There should've been more dungeons, more caves, way more items to make an overworld that big so contentful as well. Thus f.e. this last area, Charles Ruins, became nothing more than a "passageway", much like many other areas in this quest. (Halberd's Kingdom, Egbert's Estate, Krelaila Mountains, etc.) But I really enjoyed making so many different areas.

The quest I'm making now will be entirely different in that regard.

Thank you again Twilight Knight for your reconfirmation.

Now I'm fully satisified with your reply.

A shop in Charlds' Ruin... if some people survived from the massacre in that horrible place, I'm happy to know that!

I always admire and respect quest authors, especially for their creation of the overworld.

To entertain players, you may have to think many things... caves, hidden items, tricks...

What a tremendous job! And sometimes, you may be tired and irritated to be a good game-maker.

I just hope all authors to enjoy yourself first, to make the world that you want to see.

> But I really enjoyed making so many different areas.

I could know that while playing, and that feeling was one of my favorite entertainment to me  :D

Anyway this quest is very good, and I'm looking forward to your new quest!

Has the tileset for this quest ever been released?

I can see a lot of the tiles from the Mac & Blue Tileset; which I'm using for an upcoming project.

I'm interested specifically in the mountains which are a lot smoother than anything I've been able to find.

If it isn't public, or you don't wish to release them; please let me know.

Just discovered this quest this week - it’s been great so far. Just finished level 1.

I really liked how the first temple actually feels like an excavation of some ancient ruin. (Not like any ordinary dungeon that had the label “temple” slapped onto it).

It’s also really cool how much of the overworld is open to you from the start. (And it’s a fantastic overworld, seriously).

EDIT: regarding level 2:

Spoiler

EDIT #2: lol, I found the red ring before the blue ring. Endgame is shaping up nicely (just started L8).

This has been a fantastic quest, but, some minor gripes so far:

I'm sorry but I completely missed this ywkls. I did not release a tileset, but I was considering it.

Those mountains, from Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire, are actually loose tiles by Bayta in the PZC database: https://www.purezc.n...=tiles&id=1106

If there's any other tiles you need, PM me and I'd be happy to share

If anyone is still out there who remembers this, I have a very important question.  I'm on the final boss.  I get to the part where he basically tells me what item to use not to lose to him.  I use the item.  But it doesn't work and I keep getting the "bad" ending anyway.  What am I doing wrong?  I'm using 2.53.

You have to hold your fire for a second. I think the problem is that the fight warps you to another screen before the attack starts up, and if you use the item too early, then you won't have the MP to use it when it actually matters.

Thanks I'll try delaying just a bit and see if that works.

Edit:  Thanks!  That did it.  I of course assumed I had to fire it off as quickly as possible to beat the spell and the problem was the other way.  I'll post in the Quest Club thread but I will say if not for Quest Club I almost certainly NEVER would have played this, and it turns out I ended up absolutely adoring the quest.
