I'm tired of seeing this thing about "New tiles"

Look, it's time to face fact.  Most people don't want to create a tileset.  Plain and simple.

So, for the love of god, or whatever you worship, stop complaining about seeing the same tileset over and over.  If a tileset is nice, people are going to use it!

Period!

(note: Not directed at Petoe, this is pure coincidence.)

That's right.
And even if it is pure coincidence, I just want to clarify that it doesn't matter whether the tiles are new or not. What I meant is that when I've seen some tiles more than a couple of times, it's easier to find flaws from them when the amazement that comes from seeing new tiles is gone (I hope that made sense).

Josh, when's the last time you saw an actual river? Hate to break it to ya bud but, 9 times out of 10 they're not all twisty. Generally, they flow straight down for a portion, then turn, down some more, turn, etc etc.

Well, I'd say rivers usually are quite "twisty". And the river in WB's shot is... well, boring.

I still love the tiles by Prettyboy. But I don't like the way its laid out WB. Make it more detailed. Make some shadows of some sort. I voted for link3505, because I love those tiles, and the way you used them. I like those balloon trees by the way. Great job!

Rivers can be both twisty and straight. Typically in mountainous areas they are twisty and have many rapids, and when they get down into a plains area, they meander slightly (go back and forth with wide, gradual turns), so honestly, I think a river is a river, end of that discussion . I voted for Teilyr because I'm a fan of dungeon screenshots, and also really like how he did this lava dungeon screen.

blckscab - Well, dang. That looks pretty nice, but you may want to make all the colors brighter, than layer a transparent screen of pure black so the player becomes darkened too .

WildBill - That is awesome. I see no flaws in this shot at all, I'd say this is a perfect test screen.

a guy and his game - The tiles are nice, but it just doesn't fit in with the 8 bit Link and display at the top. Try changing Link to newfirst.

PolygonX8 - Ahem.... CURZE JOO ALL IN CAHT!!!!1111oneone I should've chosen the second one. Oh well, I was bored.

Hero Link - Perfect. Every screen in this remake looks about as perfect as it could be on ZC, keep it up HL!

Yoshi - OMG, that is death. That's all I can say... hopefully that isn't a real boss in you quest.

Teilyr - Greatness. I love shots with lava, and the walls blend in perfectly. Side note: My sickle-shot and HS grab pwn .

link3505 - Love those tiles. No wonder people were worried of you sending in your shots.

Anyway, what is up with your item and map borders?  They don't look good to me.  At all.

did I say I was joing to submit to the next SSOTW?

and those borders are from Fire Emblem GBA, only there temporarily, and they'd look better in their normal pallete. don't worry, I'm working on new ones
