In some houses, there is a separate closet-sized room that just has the toilet in it - but this is always connected to the main bathroom which has the sinks, bathtub, shower, etc. in it.  My parents' old master bathroom was setup this way. I'd say most of the time everything is just set up in a single room in American houses though.

Oh wait can I actually reply to this with serious conversation, alright here I go:

Yeah one of the houses I grew up in, it's a two-family house. The upstairs apartment had the bathrooms set up like, the toilet was in its own tiny room, you leave, turn right, there's the sink and bathtub room. It was always weird to me because it's the only time I've ever seen it in anyone's house. Every other home, there's the occasional "toilet and sink only" combo, yes, but never just a toilet by itself. In fact, I'm currently living in the first floor of the house I mentioned, and its bathroom is all-in-one.

Of course this is all my own experience, because I generally don't go into homes that aren't mine or ones I'm invited into, but I've only ever seen "toilet-only" rooms once.

Are you not expected to wash your hands in Australia??

Australia isn't real, so no.

Don't your feet get sore? I can fall asleep in most clothes decently, but sleeping in socks (or even wearing them for too long, as 28 hour shifts have helped me discover) rubs the top of my toes until they're super irritated.

the socks was made of wool or cotton ?

I smiled but I'm angry about it.

Hmmm, not that I've noticed! It could be a sizing thing? If I remember correctly, there were some studies awhile back that showed sleeping with socks could improve quality or length of sleep. That said, I don't know if that was actual science, or pseudoscience. I just know my toes get cold very easily, and I wake up less often when they're kept nice and toe-sty.

For me, my ankles and the part above them gets irritated if I wear socks for too long, but never had issues with my toes. I think my leg hair plays a role in this, too?

And regarding going to the toilet next to the shower, that I can stand in the shower and enjoy the shower water instead of sitting on the toilet and flushing afterwards is a plus for me.

Just saying, because I remember from my youth that it was considered normal and manly for guys to pee while standing in front of the toilet and that is certainly far more barbarian and unhygienic than shower peeing.

Though if you share the bathroom with others (not at the same time, in case my wording is bad) and one of the others clearly states their disgust for shower peeing, I would consider it quite rude to do so anyway.

If you've peed in the shower, I want you to stand up and look at yourself in the mirror. What do you see? I hope you see a based person who isn't above using water efficiently. You will be remembered. In 2000 years when they look back at why we were so fucked, just remember that you did your part by peeing in the shower.
