WTF?

"Ultra rare"? Is this a joke auction? All NES Zelda cartridges were gold.

I must be missing something here.

Actually, according to statistics, the gray cartridge was more common. I've seen a few of 'em here and there, but I never thought it was more common than the gold one. Still, now I'm $10,000 richer if I choose to be icon_razz.gif I wonder how much Zelda 2 will fetch for?

Don't worry, you are. It's the fact that Ganon is purple instead in that version.

You know, I will never understand how anyone could be willing to buy something this ridiculous for this much money...

I wish I still had my gold cartridge. I wonder what ever happened to it. Well, technically it was my older brother's, as the NES was also his present for his tenth birthday. Makes me wonder how much I could have sold it for to a sucker. Then again, by the time it was gone, I knew nothing of eBay.

Both of my friends who have NESes have gold Zelda cartridges. This is a joke.

What the heck. I clicked on the link a second time, it popped up, then went away. icon_confused.gif

Guys, it's NOT the fact that it's just a gold cartridge. If that was the case, I'd have 20,000 dollars right now instead of two gold cartridge zeldas on my shelf. This specific one had a defect, that made it unique. It was probably some version where only a very few were made, making it very very valuable. The only hint as to what is different, is the fact that Ganon is a different color (purple.)

Oh. So what? He's purple, big deal. That shouldn't raise the price to $10,000.

Ganon's blue in mine. Interesting, I didn't know something like that existed.

I think that pretty much sums up the point there. That could be true for a lot of things. Makes me think of something the Comic Book Guy might wish to have in his possession, in "mint condition".

****.

You can download the same game here for free.

****kkkk someone is actually paying $9999 for that. What an asshole, donate it to charity, help out a friend, do ANYTHING else with $9999 instead of wasting it on a ****ing video game cartridge of a game you can download anywhere. Rage rage rage.

you do know that Nintendo usually released revised versions of there cartridge games for the NES, SNES and N64 right? It "may" be true in that there was very few early revisions (read: before revision 1.0) sold to the public featuring Ganon as purple instead of blue..

That's just lame. Not much more I can say about it. Ya know what? You want a purple Ganon? Open the first quest in ZQuest and change Ganon's palette. icon_deformed.gif
