This is the Latest News from Freaky Fish Productions (do not mind this inside joke).

Good News everyone we are moving ever close to the first demo, currently adding in the magic training zone and adding in the music for it. Bolt is slowly working on the title screen when he has free time. Once that area is complete I will start preparing the what I have done for a demo. I am so sorry for the delays with the demo and in my down time i have been playing with scripts and trying to create a new experience for the player that where it is not like the experience of ToC (I have not been wasting my down time on LoW). Creating a game based on Zelda does pose some interesting challenges we need to overcome but I think we can over come those issues. The demo is going to be lacking NPCs and enemies outside of the demo areas because they will modified and enhanced with scripts and will react to the progression in the game. Those will come towards the finalization of the game once all of the levels, items and maps are generated. Bosses will be another huge challenge for us when it comes to scripting them since the never did it before and the best we accomplished was the 2.10 boss with tile combos tricks.

One question I would like to ask is whats people's opinion on some music returning from Tower of Courage in LoW (If so what tracks would you like to see again in LoW)?

It is a new year and we hope to complete this project before this year is out so we can start the next game in this series Trials of Power (more details on this game at a later date).

On music, the level 3, 5, 6 and 8 themes were my top favorites.  I don't know if you  want dungeon themes or others, but those are my choices lol

EDIT: I also quite enjoy the overworld theme for Juno

EDIT 2: I almost forgot about the Illusion Forest theme, that was particularly good as well :)

LoW has its own overworld music and one dungeon will have repeating music. I might add those track as a bonus area or key area in LoW

The music from ToC was great! I would love to hear all of it (but there are a lot of other tracks that would be awesome). In terms of specific ToC tracks, I loved the final boss theme, level 9 theme (can play as an overworld theme which I would LOVE) and level 5. BTW I loved the boss music used in Umbral Cloud and I loved the entire soundtrack from Isle of Rebirth in case you are up for suggestions. Castlevania, final fantasy, the Metroid Primes, all of which have music that fit really well into zelda.

Thanks for the update and listening to us!!

I'd like to help suggest music, but I either don't remember or haven't played the quests mentioned.  Any specific-themed areas you lookin' for music for?

Tower of Courage has music spanning across many games and gaming platforms.  A lot of people liked the battletoads music that was used in the game

Super excited for this game!  Tower of Courage was great, it felt like a true Zelda experience!  My favorite soundtrack for it was that of Level 9-it really gave the feeling of a journey coming to a close and appealed to my nostalgia quite a bit.  If you want to reuse tracks I think that's totally fine.  Glad the game is coming along-take all the time you need and remember: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."

Cheers,

D4D

That track was a good one, which I heard from dawn of twilight, but i wanted to use it in a different way not as an over world theme like in that game. A gave off a peaceful vibe and felt like the game was coming to a close.  So far only 2 sound tracks have made it into LoW and they play a role through each game of the series (The last game will unveil that secret).  I do have a whole list of new music to apply to LoW, but some of the fan favorites should be considered. I should see if they can be used in a whole new way other than the way ToC used them.

A lot of strong music in ToC.  Overworld, level 3, level 5, and level 6 are a few notable examples from my playthroughs that have good tunes

Surprisingly the over world theme music is mistaken for final fantasy music  which it is a dragon warrior main theme remixed on VGMusic.com. it wont make another appearance since it was heavily used in ToC and if used again might make people think of ToC and not what the song is real purpose in the quest I re-use it in.  The others can be used but probably not for another dungeon sound track but subject to change at a later date.  The music for ToC took me months scouring different resources to find a soundtrack that would fit the theme I was going for that dungeon.  Still compiling an equally or better soundtrack for LoW.
