Welcome everyone, to "Let's Make a Quest?" What is this you ask? Well, think of it as a Let's Play, but instead, I'm making a quest. The format I will be using will be Screenshot Let's Play, so people can participate in the thread more.
A lot of this quest will be spontaneously made, however, I still want help from you guys. Feel free to post your various ideas, perhaps with a dungeon gimmick or two, or perhaps a midi or tiles I should use in the quest as per your suggestion.
Rules
1) Doesn't matter if you contribute very little or a lot, regardless, you're getting credited. Even if it's just an idea that I end up not using for some reason.
2) While I could use music from my own personal collection, I think it's better to get ideas for music to be suggested by you guys. Aside from music, I also mean tiles as well. That being said, I'll try my best to work with what I have, and if I don't have a tile that I need, I'll simply try to make it myself, unless someone wants to submit one. Of course, there's also other things you could post, like scripts you want me to try and incorporate into the quest as well.
3) Ultimately, this is something for fun, so have fun! If we can though, I think it'd be nice to try and make the quest at least somewhat serious.
Where everything shall be.
Things like the quest's genre and the name shall come later. In the next post, I shall randomize what tileset we're using, and randomize what our starting screen will be.
If you have any questions feel free to post them as well.
I would go for Instrumentality, Classic or EZGBZ... but I'll go ahead and suggest a more underrated one: FYS. I just really like how this tileset looks and it's pretty easy to use too.
Intrumentality. The easy to use structure of Classic, with the neat looking tiles of GB? Yes please. Although, I do vote on not using the default Instrumentality Link. He's too overused IMO.
