What do I need to do here? The ghost said he wanted to hear music; I played the ocarina and nothing happened.

 

 

 

How do I get into this area?

Spelunker,

 

The ghost doesn't want to hear your ocarina, but an item from the trading sequence. You'll figure it out once you get the right trading item.

 

As for the area: remember the cave where you found the lens of truth? (NB west of the Mirage guy)

If you explore the room where you obtained the lens, you should find your way towards that area.

I can't figure out how to get to the valley to find the old lady in the Valley. I haven't found the warp zone that's closed which I figure is the valley so please can you point me in the right direction.

I think you refer to the lady in the village with the weird language and red bows. The lady is in of these houses.

 

Can anyone help me with lvl 8? I'm missing one small key, and I think I need the treasure chest in the room with the 2 boomerang orbs, and the impenetrable blocks in a skullform around them. 

How can I ever trigger these orbs? Or is this just a troll room?

The valley can be accesesed by using the hookshot to go down here after you beat Level 5:

Go down a square, and you can open up the warp zone to the valley.

The last warp zone can't be opened until very late in the game (after Level 8 ), so you don't need to worry about that for now.

You can trigger those! The boomerang won't pass through those blocks when you throw it at them, but it will pass through them if it needs to to come back to Link. So you need to get the boomerang to hit them on the way back. Doing that gets you a small key.

They are found in Level 7. The new creatures are killed by jumping on them with the boots. I combined the normal boots and the stomp boots into one item.

If you can't figure out how to keep going in Level 7 without the boots, try bombing walls where the rails run into them.

Level 7 is found at the end of the hills area to the left of S. Valley. Go swimming in the river until you reach a cave. Go inside and there's a propeller you can activate with the wand, which will open a path to Level 7.

Go down these stairs:

Fall down the hole in the sidescrolling section. Then go up the stairs that are at the bottom.

From there, go a screen down, get off of the high ground, and go back up a screen. There will be a tree where Link is in this picture. Burn it down and go down the stairs.

Keep going right and eventually you will reach the fisherman.

I'm stuck in level 5: Snowdrift hall.

 

I need more keys! I can see 2 keys in the room in the bottom right hand corner.

 

1) Is beyond a row of immovable pegs.

2) is in a chest on a ledge accessed by a staircase.

 

Cant get either. Please help.

Use the boomerang to collect the one behind the pegs.

To get the one on the ledge, use the hammer on the cracked ice tile in this room:

Dive into the water and you will surface on that ledge.

Stand at the bottom of the screen and throw the boomerang up. Have it hit the switches while returning to Link. It can't go through those blocks if you throw it into them, but it can if it needs to to come back to Link.
