Whatever happened to good ole Polygon X8 (aka Exate)? It seems that he's left us a long time ago. His quests were pretty good, so thanks for linking us some of the better (and unusual) quests we've seen!

Exate's still around. He just isn't at Pure very often.
He also quit ZC a while ago in the middle of 2 projects. He made some pretty great quests.

The link to Metroid: SR388 seems to be the only one that isn't working. Also, I'm pretty sure that you can play the first group of 1.90 games in 1.92 b183 with no issues and have a much better experience (I seem to remember that b183 is fully backward compatible with 1.90.) In any case, I just played Darknut Wars with it and had no problems.

Ah, that's too bad. I remember his quests and they were grand, really. The biggest Metroid nut I ever saw (bigger than you, Russ!). Well, Exate, if you remember me, hi! If you never see this, well crap, hope everything's fine in your end.

im not actually alive
my soul has just been possessed by ~greater spirits~ icon_cool.gif!

Actually, I lost interest in ZC quite a couple of years ago. Additionally, my interest in PZC has diminished as well--I only log in on occasions where somebody links me to a topic that I should probably take a gander at (ie. now). Most of my time is spent at work, staring at the computer screen+my forum, and (beginning next week) college.

As for you, SoS, I do remember you (albeit rather vaguely). Things are just peachy, I suppose, but my mental state could really use some improvement. However, it's rather personal, so I shan't go into detail.

I don't see a problem bumping this topic, so...

http://exateland.exaltedlegion.com/

I've moved the resource site to my domain. The old link has become a plain html page with the aforementioned link. However, I don't know how long it'll be 'til Freewebs notices and decides to nuke it, so I'm posting here.

YES!!!! i've wanted to play Link's Nightmare ever since i first saw drmutagen's youtube playthrough of it. Link's Nightmare was one of the two quests(along with Lost Isle) that made me start with questmaking and playing in the first place. both due to their similarity to Link's Awakening. my dream has at last come true! w00t!

I agree, Exate's quests were part of the reason I got into ZC. Link's Nightmare = Epic Win.

...Also, how are those two quests like LA? I'm not drawing a connection.

When I was 12 I downloaded one of then PolygonX8's Metroid quests and tested it to see if he really did accomplish putting a Metroid game into Zelda Classic...

I couldn't stop playing FOR HOURS!

Exate is my hero when it comes to innovation in ZC.

how they are like LA? the storyline. in Lost Isle, you are stranded on an island, just like in LA. in Link's Nightmare, it is, well, a nightmare(that is what i have made out of it at least lol), just like LA is a dream.

I found this site, http://www.geocities...gonx8/x8zc.html, but all the links are broken, or something.  When I try downloading any, it says, "failed-network error."
