I'm considering making a quest (no points for guessing what icon_razz.gif) that would benefit from a 3D map, but I'm not sure such a thing would run acceptably on slower systems. So, here's a simple demo (2.50, of course). It's likely to run at less than 60 FPS, but I'm hoping it'll be fast enough to use. Try it out and let me know.

That is one nice bit of badassery you've cooked up there. Like, really. icon_drool.gif

Makes me wonder if something like the original StarFox is feasible in ZC?

Edit: Herpaderp, forgot to mention how it runs. I'm running on a fairly low-end netbook, and it runs perfectly a-okay.

Ran at 60 fps for me, very impressive. My computer is pretty high performance though.

Ran at a constant 60 for me, but I'm not sure how my computer stacks up. I wasn't able to switch between floors. The controls indicated L/R, but those already rotate the screen...

Very impressive, I'd be interested in seeing how hard this is to apply to a quest that's already in-progress. It's very cool.

Runs fine, looks pretty awesome, if not somewhat confusing.

Left/Right rotates, L/R changes floors icon_razz.gif

You're sick. icon_razz.gif

Q: Do the rooms rotate?

Also seems to run OK for me.

It's pretty cool. Actually, quite awesome. But I don't see what's the point here >_> Is it just fancyness?

Using an HP Compaq 6735b with 1.7gigs of ram, Athlon x2 dual core with 1.09ghz and a ati radeon hd 3200 integrated graphics card

using windows xp professional service pack 2

The map quest file stayed at a constant 60 fps on my getup, floor switching, and rotation worked perfectly with no hiccuping.

Runs fine on both my laptop and my desktop. My desktop was a given though, it runs both Crysis 1 and 2 on max without much hiccups, but the laptop on the other hand isn't really that high-end. To give you an idea, it runs Counter-Strike Source just fine, but struggles with Battlefield 2.

Pretty awesome though! I can totally see this being used in some puzzle where you have to solve a puzzle in 3D, by rolling a ball around to make it reach a certain "room" or whatever. That'd be really cool. Great work, can't wait to see what you can do with this in the future!

It ran at a consistent 60 for me but my computer's pretty high-end. Also, that's pretty amazing, I never knew you could do something like that with ZC.
