Rob, you specifically should be interested in the second one for the overworld parts of MM2D. 

Except for the lack of mass combo creation functioning at the moment. That would make it quite the pain to import any of those. (Hopefully that gets fixed soon?)

Depends.

Remember the keys from the shortcuts discussion a few days ago?

Make 1 combo from the first tile, copy the combo to the next spot and ctrl-plus, then copy both of those to the next 2 spots and ctrl-plus-plus. There's row 1. Copy that to row 2 and ctrl-shift-plus. Copy both rows to the next 2 rows and ctrl-shift-plus-plus. Repeat until you've got one full set, then copy the entire set and either ctrl-plus-plus-plus-plus if the next collection of tiles is to the right, or ctrl-shift and a whole bunch of plussing if it's on the next page down. Swap plusses for minuses if you're the backward-working type.
