Do you think It would be possible to make a script like this...
You press L/R in the Active Subscreen and it changes from Inventory to Quest status. Couldn't you just do it by doing something like, if you press R the subscreen would change from X subscreen to Y subscreen. I don't know much about scripting. Thanks.

No, but you can fake it
You can have it save your screen, dmap, and possition data and have it warp to a different when you press start, and back afterwards.

Well...could you take that a step further. Press R warps to x subscreen L warps to Y subscreen.
